Who, in your opinion, would be your first five in a penalty shootout? Not just for an FA Cup or EFL Cup game...but if it came down to it, who would you want to win you the Champions League? For me, these five would get the job done?

3. Fábregas

4. Hazard

5. Costa

 

Not all that dissimilar in terms of the type of players from the Munich five, apart from Hazard taking Cole's spot...but that's who I would trust to win us Ole Big Ears if we had the chance next season.

Depending on hazards form I may actually want someone else. He's so casual sometimes it comes off as unnerving to me. Dave would replace him for me

Hazard first then or maybe second.

Why is Courtois on the list? That was a sweet penalty in the end vs Paris but the way he hit it would have gone high, wide and handsome more often than not.

However to answer the OPs question Eden and Cesc are the two I'd trust the most with spot kicks, everyone else either has a shady record from the spot (Costa, Luiz) or hasn't taken many to be assesed either way (Pedro, Willian).

Luiz would be my most important penalty taker in a penalty shootout, the guy has guts. Depending on the situation I don't know if I would place him first or last. Follow that with Hazard, Fabregas, Costa and maybe Pedro and that's actually a very solid 5.

Hard to say when we've never really seen what the others can do outside of Hazard, Costa, and Luiz. I'd go for those 3, probably with Fabregas and Alonso as the other 2- Alonso because of his decent free-kick technique.

Last? LoL cmon. Just because you think he should be "smashing" them in instead of watching the keeper make a move doesnt mean hes not a great penalty taker. So because he missed a couple last year are we suddenly going to pretend he didnt slot home somethibg like 20 in a row?

In that order

Fabregas - Hits them perfectly, nine times out of ten.

Hazard - I'd still fancy him from the spot, much more than a hit and hope taker.

Luiz - Missed a couple in the past, I like his style of hitting them high with placement, but if he took them permanently, he'd inevitably end up hitting the bar on occasions. 

Costa - Has a decent record, but his last pen was abysmal, usually hits them with power, but he tends to hit them in to the corner and hope for the best.

With the rest, it's all guess work, pedro and Willian would probably be decent, but correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think they've ever been frequent takers. Tibo took one good kick, another time he may have blasted it over.

Easy to forget how good Leboeuf was, I seem to remember Wisey missing a few. I think Kalou was unlucky, I remember reading an article years ago and I think Hiddink stated Sala was third choice, he hit perfect pens in shootouts.
