April 28, 20179 yr We already have a "dream transfer window" thread, so I thought of starting a realistic one too. Personally, I feel this is a Mega important transfer window. We need to strengthen multiple areas as well as try and not to lose some of our best players (namely Hazard). I do have a bad feeling though, that we might lose Hazard due to the presidential elections at RM (the last 2 elections saw the coming of Ronaldo (2009) and Bale (2013)). So I totally expect them to throw the money at another superstar, which might very well end up being Hazard. Realistic Outs: Terry (Free) Costa (90mil pounds) Hazard (100mil pounds) Realistic Ins: Lukaku (60mil pounds) Radja/Bakayoko (30mil pounds) Florenzi (20mil pounds) James Rodriguez (40mil pounds) Net Spend: +40mil pounds Squad: GK: Tibo, Asmir, Blackman (HG) CBs: Luiz, Cahill (HG), Azpi, Ake (HG), Zouma, Andreas (HG) RWB: Florenzi, Moses (HG) LWB: Alonso, Baba CM: Kante, Radja/Bakayoko, Cesc (HG), Matic, Chalobah (HG) Forwards: Lukaku (HG), Michy, James, Pedro, Willian, Musonda (HG), Abraham (HG)
April 28, 20179 yr Hasn't Florenzi just done his ACL for the second time? Can't see us signing him. Wouldn't mind us snatching up that Cedric from Southampton to challenge at RWB.
April 28, 20179 yr In - Bernardeschi, Zappacosta, Tolisso, Christensen, Morata, Laxalt, Krul, Baker, Tammy Out - Willian (if we sign Bernardeschi??), Rahman (to Schalke/Wolfsburg), Van Ginkel (to PSV), Batshuayi (loan to West Ham/Newcastle), Terry, Kenedy (loan to anyone who knows what his best position is), Loftus-Cheek (loan to Stoke/Newcastle), Musonda (loan to Anderlecht), Solanke (who the f**k cares) Diego and Hazard to stay Edited April 28, 20179 yr by the special one
April 28, 20179 yr Mbappe's agent said Barca, Real and the Manc clubs are the only one's that can afford him, if we sell Hazard (which i don't think we will) then surely we make that list 5? If we do lose Eden we must do everything possible to secure Mbappe, even throwing eveey penny of the Hazard deal in.
April 28, 20179 yr Realistically speaking, I think this is possible: Out- Costa, Eduardo, Terry, A bunch of our pointless loanees In - Bakoyoko, baker, baba, Christensen, Kenedy, Lukaku Loan out: RLC, Michy, Edited April 28, 20179 yr by JJP
April 29, 20179 yr Realistically I would not want to see loads of new signings coming in as I think we have great talent that we could call back into the side, that being said we will definitely need to strengthen in certain areas, especially with players that suit Conte's style of play so here goes:Out (Permanently) - Eduardo, Delac, Terry, Fabregas(purely for the fact that he doesn't fit Conte's midfield role), Piazon, Costa, Remy. Profit - £105m (Fees according to Transfermarkt)Notable Loans (PL Clubs or equal) - Loftus-Cheek, Kenedy, Aina, Boga, Cuevas, Dasilva, Kalas, Miazga, Nathan, Omeruo, Palmer, Pasalic, Van Ginkel. In (From Loan) - Blackman, Christensen, Rahman, Baker, Traoré, AbrahamIn (New Signings) - Almamy Touré, Marco Verratti, Romelu Lukaku. Cost - £140mFirst team squad:GK - Courtois, Begovi?, Blackman.CB - Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill, Zouma, Christensen, AkéLWB - Alonso, RahmanRWB - Moses, TouréCM - Kante, Matic, Verratti, Baker, ChalobahLAM - Hazard, MusondaRAM - Willian, Pedro, TraoréST - Lukaku, Batshuayi, Abraham
April 29, 20179 yr Sell: Ali, Angban, Atsu, Baxter, Blackman, Boga, Cuadrado, Cuevas, Dabo, Delac, Feruz, Hector, Hougton, Kalas, Kiwomya, Miazga, Nathan, Omeru, Pasalic, Piazon, Remy, Rodriguez, Tomori, Van Ginkel, Wallace, Begovic, Eduardo, Terry (Release), Kenedy, Batshuayi, Solanke, Costa Loan: Abraham (PL), Brown (PL), Clarke-Salter (PL/CH), Colkett, Dasvila, Palmer, Traore, RLC, Aina, Musonda (PL) Recall: Baba, Baker, Christensen Buy: No idea
April 30, 20179 yr I think these targets would be realistic in the summer: Ghoulam: 1 year left on his contract and wants a transfer in the summer. Sanchez: 1 year left on his contract, I think Arsenal will sell regardless of what Wenger saies. Bakayoko: We have been linked with him for a while and he is among the two players Moncaco is rumoured to sell this summer. Virgil Van Dijk: I think Southampton will sell for 50mil this summer. *Belotti, Lukaku or Morata to come in if Costa is sold.
May 15, 20179 yr In Christiensen £0, danilo pereira £35m, mendy £35m, j.Rodriguez £50m, morata £50m, lukaku £75m. Out Costa £75m, Batshuayi £25m, Cuardrado £15m + Oscar £60m. Net spend £75m Edited May 15, 20179 yr by big blue
May 28, 20179 yr The price for Cuardado is 20mln. with the loan. We also sell Bamford for 10mln. with bonuses. Oscar for 60mln. Christian Atzu for 7,2mln. We haven`t started to selling and have 100mln. from outgoing transfer. And lets start: Out: Costa - 60mln. Willian - 30mln. Nathan AKe - 20mln. Begovic - 10mln. Traore - 20mln. Kenneth Omeruo - 7mln. Matic - 25mln Loic Remy - probably for free, if we can get 3-5mln. will be great Baba Rahman - 10mln. Tomas Kalac - 5mln. If we get 90% of this price, we will get more then 150mln. from outgoing players. And for the IN, there is hard to tell, but i would bring back Christensen and Lewis Baker. I think they can fit well if given them the chance. And probably get this player: Lukaku, Morata, Kyle Walker, Benjamin Mendy, world class CM, back up for Kante, World class center back and World class right midfielder for Pedro/Willian position. And some back up players for depth, which depends on who leave and who will stay. Edited May 28, 20179 yr by brakeit
May 28, 20179 yr I would like to see us put a bid in for Marcos Llorente he is so so good and would be the perfect replacement for Matic, but I don't see Real Madrid selling him, so maybe putting a bid in for Casemiro would be a better idea, as Marcos Llorente will probably take Casemiro's place in the Madrid team next season.
May 28, 20179 yr I'm usually pretty pessimistic when it comes to transfers, so here goes: Ideally - Koulibaly/Van Dijk, Verratti/Naingollan, Lukaku/Sanchez Realistically - Conti, Tierney, Bakayoko, Morata I think the spine of the team's critical, with a starting centre back & central midfielder top of the priority list, but I can also see it being a difficult window for us. Costa may well stay which could throw a spanner in the works for any potential striker signing, and there's a lot of competition for the names I've listed.

Casemiro is a pretty important player for them though. He allows Kroos and Modric to do other things while he cleans up after them, among other things. Chances of getting him (he wouldn't even want to leave) are extremely slim as of now. Edit: Here's how they play. Notice the Casemiro bit Edited May 28, 20179 yr by Barrettinator

Notice the Casemiro bit I know the job he does for them, but Marcos Llorente can do that job better, I feel Casemiro will lose his place to Llorente next season, so he may want to leave especially with it being a World Cup year. Or alternatively maybe Zidane might want to stay loyal to Casemiro and then allow Llorente to leave which would be even better if we are able to sign him. That is definitely a situation the club should be keeping an eye on.

That is definitely a situation the club should be keeping an eye on. But what's that based on? Llorente has been out on loan this season while Casemiro, who hasn't even entered his prime years yet and is important to their team, has started 41 games. If Llorente doesn't go back on loan then he's going to have to prove himself and force Casemiro out. Imo, there's no way Zidane just hands it to him on a platter. If I'm being honest, I'd pass on both of them. Call me crazy but I'd take Lewis Baker over Marcos Llorente. We have our own.
May 29, 20179 yr Author I think Costa is going to stay. His whole tone has changed since the China FA ruling has come out. Realistically, I feel this will be our transfer window: Ins - new CM (radja/bakayoko/keita) (40mil), new RWB (Conti) (20mil), backup/competition for ST (Lukaku) (70mil), Tammy (Free), Musonda (free) Outs: JT (Free), Traore (15mil), MVG (6mil), Pasalic (10mil), Atsu (6mil), Kalas (5mil), Piazon (5mil),wallace (3mil),Remy (Free), RLC (loan), Baker (Loan), Kenedy (Loan), Boga (Loan)
May 29, 20179 yr Costa will stay, so will Hazard. If we want to take this team to the next level we need BIG signings. Tammy and the Bakers should be given a loan in the PL to see what they can do here, Traore I would love him in the squad with Christensen. Zouma, what happens to him? he was promising but since the injury not sure anymore. We need to look at players like Radja, Walker, Sanchez.. 1-2 world class signings is needed. After this season Conte really should be given a huge check to spend to improve so we can challenge the big spanish sides and after that shambolic FA Cup final the board should have waken up. Virgil Van Dijk should be looked at as well. If one of the defenders decides to have a dreadful season we need quality back up. Obviously the defenders can slot in wherever espcially Azpi who could probably play striker, this team is a bit of a dream but looking at how City are spending it isnt really and if we want to do good in the league and CL its pretty much close to what we need regarding quality and depth. ----------------------------------Courtois ------------Azpi------------------Luiz------------------Cahill Walker-------------------------------------------------------------Alonso ----------------------Radja---------------Kanté Sanchez--------------------------------------------------Hazard ---------------------------------Costa Bench: Begovic, Willian, Fabregas, Virgil Van Dijk, Lukaku, Traore, Moses.. cant even fit Matic, Bats, Pedro, Ake with that team so some would need to be moved on.. Anyway the summer will be really exciting to see where the club and Conte will want to take this direction.
May 29, 20179 yr Please let us have a big summer window. City are already making a huge difference to their team and I have no doubt Man United will sign a few superstars too. We desperately need to get a few top signings in to stay on top. Fingers crossed we do better this summer than we did over the past 2 years.
May 29, 20179 yr Have a feeling this window is going to be exactly like the last few. A lot of d*cking around and no massive names.
May 29, 20179 yr If the Board wants to give everyone a lift and do the best for the club, sign the players Conte wants. He knows what's best for his squad and tactics. The worst that the Board can do (and it won't surprise me if that's the case) is they buy a bunch of second rate players and loaning washed up journeymen from other clubs after wasting everyone's time doing half-hearted negotiations chasing top players.
May 29, 20179 yr I'm as negative as the next guy but we shouldn't be writing it off already. We should give them the time and chance to get players in that Conte wants. It's frustrating we don't know who they are but we didn't know about Kante, Alonso and Luiz until they basically signed which won us the title really so that's a positive. I get it's frustrating when City sign class players already and other clubs are tying things up but we just have to trust the guys in charge. Roman and co will know if they don't back Conte he will simply leave as there are several clubs willing to give him a fortune to build a winning side. Fingers crossed lessons have been learned and surely you would think they would have to have been now.
May 29, 20179 yr This must be a record for how early rumblings about signings have started. if we don't sign a player before the start of pre season, then I can understand a few worried fans, especially after 2015. Everything from anyone connected at the club, is pointing towards us spending pretty heavily this summer. I think we will show that we have learnt from previous mistakes.

Alonso and Luiz were more like last minute panic buys but they worked out well due to Conte's tactical genius. However, everyone has their limits and continuing to hoist last minute buys upon Conte will eventually make him fed up and leave. Having said that, I agree with you about giving time and the charity shield match would be a suitable date to see how settled the squad is after all the comings and goings.

Fingers crossed lessons have been learned and surely you would think they would have to have been now. Let's be honest, we got lucky with Luiz and Alonso. I was quite unhappy with Luiz coming back but he did prove me wrong by having a great season. Alonso was unknown but again, after a bit of struggling he fit very well in a Conte's tactical system. It's great that we've got those players but the truth is, they were at the very end of the shortlist of our transfer targets and it's just our luck that all those pieces fell into place at the right time. But it was also obvious on a number of occasions during the season that we're desperately short of options and individual quality when things aren't working well. The club benefited from the lack of the CL football and no major injuries to the first eleven, which allowed Conte to keep the team fresh and competitive. Next season will be much tougher in that respect. I believe we cannot afford to repeat mistakes from the last two summers and have to be more proactive. The competition is only going to get stronger.
