May 5, 20179 yr We're not linked as far as I know...but just wondering what Chelsea fans' opinion on him is. Would he be worth a bid?
May 5, 20179 yr Don't like him. Also, Spurs wouldn't sell us a sh*t in a box. Edited May 5, 20179 yr by Zeta
May 5, 20179 yr 35 minutes ago, RIP Mourinho said: Would rather take Trippier off their hands. Many Spurs fans complain about Walker's poor defending, and actually prefer Trippier.
May 5, 20179 yr I know he hasn't been back long but he was utter garbage against Palace. He's off to City, Pochettino talks it down but Walker's body language says otherwise.
May 5, 20179 yr Trippier is the better player in my opinion. Every time I've seen Walker going forward it's beats his man easily or in a great position and takes a great touch, then sets himself and awful cross. He's got better with that regard this season but before this season I'd have said Clyne and Trippier were ahead of him as right backs, and that's just English ones.
May 5, 20179 yr Would never happen anyway. We will never sign a Tottenham player because they will never sell to us.
May 5, 20179 yr Good player but not here. Pass. If we sign a RWB this summer would prefer we go for Lichtsteiner. Edited May 5, 20179 yr by the special one

If he's not good enough to start for Juventus anymore, so much so that they went out and got a 33 year old Dani Alves - who doesn't start every game either, mind, that's Cuadrado's spot - why should we get him?
May 5, 20179 yr Who wouldn't lose their place to Dani Alves? 33 yes but still has something to offer imo, we need (?) to bring in a RWB who is happy to rotate with Moses. Someone who won't complain when not in the team (a 33yr old at the tail end of his career is less likely to complain than someone looking to make a name for himself). I think he'd a good role model for Dujon Sterling too (he'll be learning from one of the best WBs over the past 10 years). 1 yr left on his contract and Juve must owe us for Cuadrado so should be cheap and chips? May 5, 20179 yr I'd rather take injured Florenzi to an ageing lichsteiner to be honest. Or any number of other wingbacks, as good as lichsteiner has been he's just a bit too old, we need to keep bringing in good talents at the 24-27 mark if we want to maintain success

Alves has only had a handful of good games this season. Been average for most of the season when he has played. He hasn't been that hard to beat for a starting place. Hardly plays RWB when they play 3 at the back (unless occasionally like against Monaco). Bottom line is that Lichsteiner is too old. I'm sure we can find someone else to do the job.
May 5, 20179 yr If we were looking for an English RB I'd prefer to look at Clyne but think Monaco's RB is the best RB but highly doubt he's attainable.
May 5, 20179 yr Anything that takes their quality players away from them has to be supported. A big Yes, just for the sheer f**koffness of it.
May 6, 20179 yr Don't want the Tottenham loser/ bottler mentality at the Home of the Champions. Once a Spud always a potato

He has been consistently good for the last 2 seasons. Yesterday, luckily for us was an off day for him but still the best RB in the league for me.
May 6, 20179 yr He's stupid, he has zero responsibility and terrible positional sense, he has pace and completely relies on that. Would be a poor signing in my opinion.
May 6, 20179 yr He has great stamina, times his runs well, and has an okay delivery. But positionally he is all over the place at times. He would be decent signing but not for the fee, and it is irrelevant anyway as levy will not sell to us regardless of price and the wishes of the player.

You are watching Walker from like 3 seasons ago. Like I said in my previous post, he has made massive strides under Poch and has established himself as one of best RB around. He rarely gets beat by any player 1 on 1, he provides great attacking outlet. Every player is owed the odd bad game which is what happened with him yesterday. He is a big part of the reason they keep so much clean sheets. There is not another RB better than him in the league. Valencia has been the only one who has been consistently good. He won't join us anyway but terrific RB. Would be a huge loss for Spurs, even though I rate Trippier a lot.
