At Chelsea, media will automatically be looking for the first sign of wrongdoing before going ballistic about Aurier. It'll be another Balotelli-like narrative but without the initial leniency
August 2, 20178 yr I think United are just distancing themselves from having agreed to sign him before his appeal is heard. It looks a lot better PR wise to look like negotiations only opened once and if his appeal is successful.

But with egos like Pogba, Zlatan, Lukaku and Mourinho you'd think Utd would refrain from another volatile player on the books.

Well it just looked a very strange and unusual move that they "apparently" let it be known that they have no interest in signing him. I'm sure they've been linked with 40 players this summer where the same statement would have been accurate. Like I said, it screamed of "he's currently by definition a criminal that's not allowed into the country, a club of our stature and values would never associate with such a character" and in two weeks time if his appeal is successful they can spin it to "he's an innocent man who because of that suddenly became an option"
August 3, 20178 yr He's a TGV on the wing, has an unbelievable engine. Not very technical though and a complete arse of a human being. He'd do fine in the prem but for his attitude and general persona he can get lost.
August 3, 20178 yr A conviction which resulted in a sentence of less than twelve months’ imprisonment** - Paragraph 320 (2)(d) and S-EC1.4(c) Appendix FM provides for a mandatory refusal of entry clearance where a person has been convicted of an offence and sentenced to less than 12 months’ imprisonment, unless a period of 5 years has passed since the end of the sentence. He wasn't sentenced to imprisonmebt it was a convertible sentence so community service and a fine they are just being self richeous,we let in Lithuanian serial killers no probs but not even a litter bug from outside the EU. Sounds like an officer was sticking a breathsliser test in his face he pushed it away which resulted in a "elbow to the throat" I don't know the man but I know French police are notoriously racist and if he actually hit an officer he wouldn't be getting community service, in any case the sentence is under appeal they could let him in its discretionary the comment to the paper reads a law that's doesn't apply to him only those serving custodial sentences. August 3, 20178 yr He also went on public in some Facebook rant how his fellow team mates are arseholes and what not.

August 3, 20178 yr If we're alright with a player found guilty of manslaughter playing for us, I'm sure Aurier won't be a problem.

August 3, 20178 yr If we're alright with a player found guilty of manslaughter playing for us, I'm sure Aurier won't be a problem. By manslaughter do you mean the long dragging case of Drogba versus Arsenal? It was brutal.
