If we're alright with a player found guilty of manslaughter playing for us, I'm sure Aurier won't be a problem.

Yea alonso was pissed and stacked a car going 70 in a 30 into a 19 year old woman and killed her, amazing how people batter home some things and totally ignore others, how he avoided prison is amazing to me.

But Alonso's visa was approved and he wasn't so volatile.

Aurier has pending visa issues and is pretty volatile

Doesn't need a visa he is spanish and being a nice guy and killing a girl drunk driving is still far worse than being an arsehole who pushed away a breathalyzer, I'm sure the dead girls family will be thrilled he is not volatile at his football club, just behind teh wheel. Look personally I'm of the opinion the past is the past, people should be able to move on, Alonso f**ked up, but he clearly wasn't out to kill someone, I'm sure it will haunt him for life, he was most likely scared straight from ever driving drunk again. Ff a player is an arse bag but can remain professional then I'm not that bothered , of course ideally we want a squad of lovely guys and I think compared to other teams our players are nice, humble young men, but I'd rather win trophies and if he helps I want him.

I actually do feel sorry for Alonso in a way, he seems like a nice guy who made a mistake that will now be with him for the rest of his life. Yes, I feel bad for the girl and her parents too of course but I just kinda feel bad looking at Alonso's twitter and seeing every post he makes gets replies like "You KILLED it last game" or "what a killer touch", imagine being reminded of something like that for the rest of your life.

If you count "waking up" by taking a tweet from an unreliable source at face value.

Haha  I agree but I do believe we may have made a bid, it's being reported in a few places, unfortunately source coming out of France is "Le10 Sport" whoever the f**k that is when Mohamed Bouhafsi reports it I'll know its happened

Problem is a person can be a nice guy with genuine remorse for a mistake but you keep trolling them like that they become insensitive to what they did because they are reminded so often they have no choice but to be numb to it, he cant have an emotional breakdown every week, if they gave a sh*t about whats right or had any respect for the dead girl they wouldn't do that...he can't be emotionally well inside, will take years.

Slightly wrong, she was a passenger, he hit a wall and she died in hospital, from a head trauma.

Oh right, forgot that Alonso was European for a bit there. I agree that it was a worse crime given that the girl was a passenger but it was poor judgment from both parties that caused it but I don't really want to get into the nitty gritty.

I'm ok with a player with issues, all I'm saying is that the board better think thoroughly about the pros and cons. If Aurier himself wants to try to change then I'm all for it. It's just the club has to prepare for a PR crisis ie Costa

Good player with problems. If Conte is happy he can manage him fair enough.

This though is definitely contingent on his appeal being successful. If it isn't there is no way he should be allowed into Britain. I rarely agree with the Conservative party or wanted Brexit  but the omission of criminals from overseas is key policy for both.

Aurier could free up Moses to play down the left.

Moses is effective going forward down the left. Very reminiscent of Ash Cole. Moses is good defensively on the right, in my view, I guess he got beaten once last night by the ox so he'd have to show defense on the left but we'd be a faster more energetic team.

As bad as Moses is at crossing from the right I would hate to see who "well" he does on the left with it.

Aurier's greatest assets are his pace and strength.

He wouldn't necessarily improve our starting line up per se - but he'd allow us to rotate and give us depth which we don't currently have, leading to burnout.

Remind me again, he's fairly reliable?

From my experience, yes.
Only one he's really dropped the ball on is Lukaku but then again, no one saw that coming.

I find it strange we haven't made a play for Fabinho he would cover both RWB & DM. More expensive than Aurier but has a lot less baggage .

I believe Aurier played a little DM before he came to PSG

David Amoyal has been reliable recently.

They might have to update it for next year? THis is my first and last summer following transfers. Way too crazy for my taste.
