August 10, 20178 yr According to ESPN he'll consider offers to leave. When fit arguably the best left back in the league. Hard to see it happening but could be a great score.
August 10, 20178 yr About as likely as getting Kane or Alli at this point in the window. Absolutely zero chance
August 10, 20178 yr Why do people keep mentioning spurs players? It's as obvious as it gets that Levy will never do business with Chelsea, that's the end of it.
August 10, 20178 yr BREAKING: Danny Rose wants to join Chelsea or Manchester United this summer if Tottenham are prepared to sell him. (Source: SkySports)
August 10, 20178 yr I really hope not especially after taking his antics into account during the battle of the bridge.
August 10, 20178 yr If he does some how end up at Utd, I wouldnt mind putting a bid in for Luke Shaw. Sure he has his problems but it feels like Jose is not a great manager for dealing with those problems. New surroundings could do him good. Utd have some quality players who are not guaranteed starters. They took Mata and Matic from us, we should take Shaw from them. Still boggles my mind that nobody has been in for Martial also when he's behind Lingaard and Rashford in the pecking order.
August 10, 20178 yr If he leaves and Utd want him he will go there, he's mentioned in the same interview about leaving that he wants to go back up north at some point. So scratch another wing back off the list. Who's next? "I will say this too, I will play up north. I don't know exactly when but I will get back up north and play some football somewhere. I have been away for over 10 years now and I don't get to see my mum that often."
August 10, 20178 yr Does this mean the Alex Sandro transfer is well and truly dead?Ask Tom. He has insight.

August 10, 20178 yr Let Utd have him, there is no way Levy would sell for anything like his true value. Id be happy with taking Luke Shaw off Utd's hands to free up some cash for them.

His fitness is in question, im sure our staff could work their usual magic on that but his position... At Southampton he basically was a wing back but in a 4 man defense. He has an absolute engine on him, much like most Pochettino players and under Conte I think would thrive. He has a much higher potential than Danny Rose.
August 10, 20178 yr This one is a real beauty. Utd show an interest in Rose, or his agent sounds out clubs (ours included probably) and asks if they'd be interested, and suddenly Rose does an interview with The Sun saying he wants to go back up north, he wants to win trophies and he's not happy with Spurs' recruitment nor his salary. In other words folks, yes that's right, he's going to Utd. Spurs can either keep hold of a very unhappy player who knows he could be earning triple his wages at Utd, or they can get as much money as possible for him. That's right folks, you've guessed it, they'll plump for the latter. They have no choice. Once the player starts agitating for the move, that's it, Utd have their man. Utd are going to have a phenomenal squad. Let's not mess about here, Rose is a bloody good player, and he's approaching his peak. Just the way Jose likes it. As for Shaw, well I said at the time we should do a swap deal for Matic, but having thought about it, there are probably problems we don't know about. He's always overweight he's never fit and he's had three managers at Utd and none them have had much faith in him, with a lot of questions about his attitude. He was brilliant at Southampton and he's a Chelsea fan but he's had a bad injury and there are probably reasons why Chelsea won't go near him. There has to be, because he'd be the obvious candidate in our search for a LWB. Anyway, yes Utd will get Rose. There's no possible way he'll come to us. Please nobody entertain that idea. Utd's squad will be stronger than it already is. That's the downside. The plus side is Spurs lose both their brilliant FBs in one summer, and the rest of their team start looking at the money they're making and start thinking they could have some of that too. As for Rose? You really have to laugh. Talking about geography and trophies when everybody knows it's all about the loot. It couldn't happen to a nicer club, it really couldn't.
