Dzeko the Gecko

An Italian reporter called Angelo Mangiante or something also said Dzeko has said yes.  Our Sky Sports say Angelo is well connected with Roma news.  IS that true?

The only one you need to believe in Italy are Di Marzio, Matteo Pedrosi and sometimes Alfredo Pedullà. Mangiante & friends are rubbish, but GDM said the same thing.

yes dimarzio has a good reputation here.  Has got many transfers correct.

La Stampa always seem to be good for Juventus news, so who is best for Roma?

Yes, like I said before I came here to hear news, and I got them. Yes, I'm from Rome.

Dzeko is an enigmatic player, against Chelsea you saw the better him, but he's lunatic a lot. He has high ups and deep downs.

Yes, i remember the goal he scored against us in the champions league. That was a great goal !!

https://twitter.com/aleaus81 but right now he's on holiday. There are no other ones because the ambient in Rome is toxic and full of fake news. And obviously the bigger one who I mentioned.

How are Roma fans feeling about Dzeko possibly leaving.
I would've thought this would be upsetting news.

It is, the logic behind the move is ok, but the timing not. We're in the middle of a Champions League hunt and this year Serie A is really competitive. We'll give the key of the attack to Schick in that case.

Ah, I'm also reading that Chelsea is searching a supersub who is good in headers and Dzeko is linked for that. Well, Dzeko for his height he's not that good aerial-wise.

Dzeko is a divisive player in Rome, there's still someone saying that last year's goals were the exception and not the rule. Understandable if you see the horrible first year in Rome, the worst striker I've ever seen.

He's someone who gets depressed quickly and needs a lot of chances to score, but his passing and skills are world-class, he's the complete opposite of Icardi lol

Dzeko 2 goals in 16 matches, Morata 4 in 16 so...

Yes, but didn't he score 39 goals in 51 games last season? That's a terrific return for any striker, and Serie A isn't an easy place to get goals.

If it comes of it's a great deal I think. Provides us with a presence up front. I'm a huge morata fan, think we have our selves an great player there but we need backup and it's been clear for a while that conte does not fancy michy much

The rumored fee is €50m combined but I see some people, who are against the transfer, using Dzeko's supposed '€25m' share as a reason not to buy. Dzeko's value in that deal should be around €15m which would out Emerson in line with Rudiger's valuation. And subsequently put Dzeko in line with Llorente's value when we wanted him. So the question is: A slightly younger Dzeko VS Llorente? It's a no brainer really.

Emerson's has a buy out clause of €22m though doesn't he? Puts dzeko at €28m.

Hopefully we sign them both anyway, dzeko will be quality for at least the next 18 months.

'Reportedly', which doesn't really mean much, besides the fact that the clauses themselves can be complex if the do indeed exist. Dzeko at 28m is a poor financial decision but either way he's an upgrade on our initial target, Llorente.

It would be an upgrade for us... much better than the other forwards we've been linked with in Jan... we've seen him this season anyway against us, so no need to doubt his skills.

Yes, he was great last year, but the tactics were designed entirely for him and Salah and Nainggolan and he had no reserves so he played a lot. Ironically he could've scored more looking at his chanches.

dude if he'd score all his chances he wouldn't be playing for roma.

No, that's simply a kind of striker which is more a creator than a finisher. As I said before the complete opposite of Icardi.

Monchi had a press conference earlier didnt he and did not deny the rumours?

Sounds as if these two deals are happening. Saw on Twitter that they could be done on Tuesday as they are in the final stages of negotiations.

Really hoping for this, please let it not be just a rumour....
