I don’t think we are in a position to be thinking about getting rid of Kovacic, I see his faults but I also appreciate his qualities, I think he’s a great squad player and worth keeping onto him while we go through current squad overhaul.

Midfield still need an overhaul, we’ve only replaced Jorginho with Enzo, we still need to replace everyone else. I also feel it’s a good time to sell Kante despite the contract talks, I struggle to see how he’d stay fit. Kovacic isn’t great either in staying fit but Kante was bad recently. Barely played this season.

Kovvy were best Croat of the FWC tourney... sad that modrić still gets all the press. A healthy Kovvy should start every match, and finish most. 🔵🔵🔵

That is always a safe assumption, but some others need to be enlightened. Leaving myself out of it, which team do people want to be on:

Team A:

Zidane, Tuchel, Klopp, Guardiola, Sterling, the entire current Chelsea squad, basically the entire football establishment (bar Graeme Souness), and above all @CaitlinCFC

or 

Team B:

Graeme Souness and some otherwise highly intelligent and virtuous posters on here who maybe once had a traumatic experience in Croatia, were jilted by a Croatian lover, or just have some deep aversion to dribbling.

Another thing with Kovacic is how he has the teams back. He is the first there standing up for anyone. Is it coincidence that we have won both matches when he wears the captains armband. I love Azpi but its time for Captain Kova.

Lovely finish for the goal, same with Enzo for the assist. Did still feel we got overrun a fair bit in the middle, City would have had a lot more fun against them.

Don’t agree on all the “get rids” (would maybe wait and see on mount and rlc) but on the second group, yeah - and as for Kova, he’s clearly a great player to have around for many reasons. Potter the latest of many to praise his attitude and character. should be clear by now that some of the nonsense that had started to emerge (particular that regarding his character) was way off base and should be put to bed.

Completely agree with the "outs" and would add Mendy, Lukaku, Bakayoke (still on the payroll🙄) and regrettably Dave as I think one more season will be one too far. I would still keep Mount if we can do a sensible deal, but Chelsea should not be held to ransom by his Father

Keep Kova on a new contract, and with the current squad, add Santos, Nkuku and a top line striker like Osimhen and I think we will be set to carry all before us next Season !!
