I thought kova was very good and he was probably only allowed to play for 70 min. 

Looks off the pace, still. Perhaps this niggling injury is affecting him.

Agree he is not what we've come to expect at the moment, but good he is working way back to fitness.  Hopefully can avoid surgery and form a partnership with someone.

I personally thought that he had a good match, even with RLC that had no idea what he was doing and on a yellow Kovacic managed to control at some points over 70% possession and this was his first start in a while.

Kova need to add a sprinkle of Jorgi in his game when he play as lone DM. 

But it is difficult for me to say so because playing kova as lone DM is just waste of talent. Yes you get the between the line pass but I want  him to have freedoom to dribble forward.

Potter confirmed Kovacic has been playing through a knee injury all season hence why they have also monitored his minutes.

Yes, getting Lamp's record is probably a bit of a stretch. Think he can out score Haaland though.

Hmm Haaland is on course to get Lamp record in 4 years. 

Given the captains armband last night but after Koulibaly, he looked our worst player in that starting 11.

He has this infuriating habit of thinking he has more time on the ball than he actually has - especially near our own box, and against a side like City, you will always be punished and City targeted him and he struggled badly IMO. 

Kova has been Brilliant the first half for Croatia.

I view it as Modric and Brozovic being so good at covering spaces that Kova has more freedom to do what he wants

He is an excellent player. Yet there are those that still just don’t want to see it. I’ve even seen him referred to elsewhere on the forum as part of the “deadwood” that needs to be shipped out. The primary concern regarding Kovacic should be us not keeping him.

That's concerning as I don't think Croatia will rest him. 

Not playing like that, they won't!

He played really well but he also look knackered.
