And his body. The WC flattened him. Rarely been 100% fit, playing carrying injuries.

Rodri against Kovacic + 100 million maybe ... but even then it wont happen. Rodri is way better than Kovacic especially because he is very very rarely injured and can be relied upon. Kovacic and Kante are always either injured, coming back from injury or out of form.

Shooting I agree but his passing and tackling are actually quite good. As on the ball defender, Kova is excellent but he is very bad off the ball. 

But like I sad before the biggest problem is what between his ears. Usually you want to give player with this kind of skill-set freedom to roam and to impact play everywhere but with Kova the more freedom you give him the worse he play. 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Take it for the "source tells me" pinch of salt it is but Chelsea fan TV claim the very believable both Kovacic and RLC are for certain on the way out:

Think we will regret selling Kovacic. First of all he's a top player and we'll need a bit of continuity. Right now it looks like Mount, Kante, RLC, Kovacic are set to leave and Gallagher is an open possibility as well. That would be a whole lot of changes in midfield over one summer and we better succeed in replacing them if the idea is to let them all go.

I support a clearout but right now it looks like some of our best players are the first one out the door and that is slightly worrying.

 

Gotta be looking at at least £35m if we're gonna sell him to City

Very worrying. If all these players are such crap according to some fans and so want them to leave, how come they are being targeted by the best clubs in the world, Man City, AC Milan, Juventus, PSG, Man Utd? These are proven players who won the CL and just need a good manager. With so many players wanting to leave, something has changed inside the club we dont know off. I fear for this club. Lets see what Pochettino can do but not holding my breath!

I love Kova, but he was really sh*t in these season. He's done at Chelsea. He needs new energy. A new chapter is the best for both sides.

But it would be painful to see him playing for City or another PL club

Maybe he simply wants to leave? I tip my hat for his contributions but I doubt he'll be a player we will sorely miss.

We can't play the this would never have happened before card here given one of the last acts of Marina was to try invain to get two key defenders signed up.

I'm on the fence with this fella, and yes he could possibly move to City and Pep crafts him into more of a complete player (for Croatia alongside Luka, Kova always looks classier than with us)

However when the 1st team squad needs to unload 15 players in the off season (lol) its going to be if another club comes in for a CFC player then likely they will have to be or seriously be considered for a move on, as is with this young man. Needs must.
