1) I am not??? standing next to anyone!

2) The UK are not b?ullying Roman. He is free to enter the UK under paragra?ph 41 of the immigration rules as he is an Israeli passport ?hol?der??.?

It's cute that you try to distance yourself from what you wrote but you have clearly shown your opinion and where you stand.

As a reminder, Roman only searched for an Israeli because he got already bullied, and not prior to it,so learn about the facts first.

I seem to have the same facts as you, since you can't really say why after 15 years suddenly Roman has problems so you based your opinion on the mass media and nothing more.

Nice try though!

Unless you can prove that Roman is not being used as a political pawn in a bigger game, I prefer to hold my own right and say that it's not rational to jump on the boat and stand with the government on this one because there is no connection with Roman and the political events other than the fact that yes Roman, just like any other rich Russian does have a relationship with Putin (they all must have that, the ones that are surviving) but that alone doesn't justify why he suddenly after living 15 years in London has been having problems with his visa, and like I pointed out, he only searched for a passport in Israel after he was bullied by the UK government. It's really that simple, nobody was having any issues since he came to live to London but suddenly after so many years he needs to do something extra and to prove his own income? Funny double standards there.

...but I regress, if you are also naive to think that everything that the government does is fair and according to the law at all times, then I must say to both you and the person I pointed out as having some kind of phobia of Russia in general...you guys should really go back to school first.

I promised myself that today I wouldn't get dragged into one of the petty arguments on this site today. So here it is..... You won the day. Everything you typed is 100% correct and factual and everyone else is wrong. Go and a celebratory w**k. ::MooNeY::

As if the point is to be 100% correct, it's not. The point was that a person on the previous page clearly implied that Roman just by having links to Putin had something to do with what has been an issue between the UK and Russia lately but later said that he has no stance on the issue at all even though he clearly supports everything that the UK government has been doing, well some people tend to disagree:

Quote

Reality is that Roman is known to have strong links to Vlad, and Vlad at the moment is not a friend of the UK. Just look at the charade around Salisbury.

We all lost a new stadium and maybe a lot of reputation as well, and Roman might be a spy working for Putin or he really might have done some serious crimes in England as the owner of Chelsea, nobody knows but I didn't win anything that I'm sure about. Maybe this is not the place where people can openly discuss about this club then, sorry that I thought otherwise.

Well, you tried mate.

Interesting that Abramovich was not seen as a problem when the US and UK were dominant in the Middle East and beyond in places like Iraq, Afghanistan, destabilising Libya and building airbases in places like Kyrgyzstan it only seems since Russia got involved in Syria that this has become an issue. At the same time Syria with Russia backing is the only country threatening to halt what Wesley Clark said was, 7 countries in 5 years statement during Bush's presidency. The 5 year timeline has gone yet the countries in the gunsights have not changed.

Dont forget Iran my friend......has played a big part helping Syria dont get overrun. Lots of weapons given and a bit man power, training etc. You take Russia and Iran away from Syria and they are done for.

Agree and of course Turkey is wavering at one point wanting Assad gone and then panicking as the Kurds in Syria started expanding, Turkey has the largest Kurdish population.

Turkey is a strange one as the centre of the Ottoman Empire they controlled the whole area pre-WW1, now since being 'turned' by Russia they sent troops to show solidarity with Qatar after Saudi Arabia put an economic blockade on them for trading with Iran. Like the other Middle East Countries Iran also has a Kurdish minority.  At the same time as these actions the US still has an airbase in Turkey. It seems like Game of Thrones.

As mentioned, politics is dirty. And f**k SA......see themselves as teh leader of the arab World but they all hate them. Never helps their Brothers in need and stockpiles mass amount of new tech without having the man power or the know-how to really utilize them if war comes. And Kurds in Iran are not like other Kurds....Iran have many ethnics......kurds, persians, Iranian arabs etc.......but all fight under the same banner.....always has always will.

Romans wealth has diminished slightly over the last few years. He’s definately not a hoarder and splashes the cash like no ones business, but like all of life’s over achievers, I don’t imagine he’s delighted at being poorer than he once was

Agree though one thing, I thought the Iranians and Persians were the same people compared to other minorities like Kurds, Arabs, Azeris etc.

Yes you are right......but still a country full of minorities. But most see themselves as persians and proud of it. The awesome part is whether they see themselves as Iranian or not ( cuz in Ahwaz, close to Iraq, a few there would rather have Ahwaz part of Iraq or independent ) when the real sh*t comes knocking they all fight for the same cause. One of the reasons the arabs and the West failed defeating Iran and its mullah regime in the 80s.

Re your comment about politics earlier, I recall being at Charing Cross station in 1991 after Spurs away and was waiting for a friend as we got split up coming out of White Heart Lane.

While waiting on the station forecourt noticed a foreign couple in an embrace.  Might not have given it a second glance yet the woman appeared really attractive and was wearing a tight fitting tweed suit. It was while watching her I noticed they were not just in an embrace yet were turning holding the embrace and as they turned I saw the camera aimed at the ceiling where the cameras were.

It was then that I thought potential terrorists, I looked around yet there were no police, that was unusual too. I thought about a citizens arrest yet then it occurred to me they were tall and lean and possibly quite useful and I was wearing grunge-like dress before it was trendy and they were wearing matching tweed suits and looking very elegant. So I left it.

I noticed many strange things in my time and like you say earlier, I started to realise politics was dirty regardless of whether the Tories or Labour were in control.

Absolutely mate......at the end of the day it really does not matter who is in charge. It will take some beating before the perspective is changed. You dont really believe you have a say who is to become your leader do you? The sh*t is done at a much much higher level.......they have given you the idea that you have a say, but you really dont. RA is done for......this pressure isnt just gonna get blown to the Wind.
