Apparently Roman and Paul Allen had a second meeting a few days ago in Cyprus. Looks like this guy is serious. Could have a new owner very soon.

You sound like you are taking this seriously? Why? A football club is hardly a burden to someone of Roman's wealth. Have we not heard from people like Bruce buck how much he loves the club and wants to give it to his son who is also a big fan?

Or do you think he is just tired of all the drama?

I think the recent visa issue and everything attached to it (putting the stadium rebuild on hold) might be playing a part. 

I'm not sure Roman wants to sell the club but as things stand it might be that he cannot run the club the way he wants going forward (pure speculation on my part). 

No smoke without fire and all that and there's been more talk of Roman selling the club in the last 6 months than I can remember from any time in the last 15 years. 

Whether he ends up selling the club (or even a significant stake in it) remains to be seen but I think he's definitely exploring the possibility.

A political decision to restrict (or look into) Romans footprint in the UK is likely, nothing to do with a phobia. Any decision will be well justified and intelligence led.

It sucks given how much time, enjoyment and investment that Roman has put into cfc, but there will be a bigger picture here that we can only speculate to.

Roman also has had two expensive divorces. Well, at least one that apparently cost him half his fortune or am I wrong? The first divorce cost him a bit didn't it? He got divorced not long ago and I am sure that also cost him too. Along with pressure from the West to prove his finances are legit etc, not surprised he's looking to sell. 

Let's hope that any buyer is aware of the CPO holders and has some understanding of the EPL.

I don't think he WANTS to sell but I believe his hand is being PUSHED BY the UK government due to the tension with Russia. I am absolutely sure it would be the last option for him as he's been trying to get citizenship in other countries to circumvent the restrictions put on him.

Well, we seem to be self sufficient for a long time now, maybe as long as a decade. Torres being the exception.

This is actually a definition of a russiaphobia...This guy we are afraid of but we can't touch him but oh look he knows this fellow that is more closer to us so let's bully him instead just because!

Whether people can see it or not, its been like this the moment he bought us. Politics have and will always be against us as long as he is here, sad yeah but the absolute truth. Look how they are papmpering city all day everyday.......cuz they are arabs. Lost of buisinesses and deals to be made.......lots of arms contract etc. And Thus the positive spin when it comes to city......

Unless you work fairly high up in the UK government , work for OSCU in the home office, work for the mi5 , work for the NCA or work for UKVI then you absolutely do not know what intel the UK do or do not have on Roman.

Anything else is speculation and talk of russianphobia is sensationalism and not helpful.

If you think that the UK makes such decisions lightly or on a whim then you are wrong. This comes from 15 years operational experience in this field...

Unless you work fairly high up in the UK government , work for OSCU in the home office, work for the mi5 , work for the NCA or work for UKVI then you absolutely do not know what intel the UK do or do not have on Roman.

City is almost basically owned by a middle eastern country but since they have oil and like you said a lot of deals no problems will ever come their way, while Chelsea is always seen with a bad eye...
Even so Roman has been a great owner all these years, the only thing is that because of all the title chasing the academy/youth has been overlooked a lot, that's maybe one aspect that a potential new owner, that would be from England in that case, would change up a bit and focus more on the home grown talent.

I still prefer Roman since whenever there is a problem he would always step in and solve it with his money, he really loves the club.

Of course.......they got to have solid evidence all the way otherwise its their ass on the line. And at the same time, its no shocking news that EU are not very fond of Russia, especially Eng.

Absolutely - The UK government are not fond, and sadly it is with very good reason. Just look at the Salisbury incidents and how Russia have handled that to see why! But for people to cal it a phobia is plain nonsense. Phobia is an irrational fear of something. There is nothing irrational about the UKs current stance on Russia or Putin - so to call it russiaphobia as Gol15 and others have is odd and not very rational.

You do sound irrational though but seem incapable of seeing it mate, why choose to stand next to those who bully the owner of our club for no real reason? I thought that the Yankees were the ones that shoot first and ask questions later no?
Just because you dislike Russia as a country and Putin as a world leader, doesn't mean you should automatically jump on the boat and dislike Roman as well, if you want to talk about what is rational and what isn't, that is.

1) I am not standing next to anyone!

2) The UK are not bullying Roman. He is free to enter the UK under paragraph 41 of the immigration rules as he is an Israeli passport holder. The UK were however delayed in processing his investor visa after which Roman withdrew his application. So ROMAN made the decision not to proceed with the application. Also, regarding the initial delay, if you look at the UK transparency data on visa processing for that category shows a delay across the board for processing times) - Lets not forget that it was in the height of the summer during peak period.

3) As I said yesterday, unless you work in a fairly high position in one of the few organisations/departments that i listed yesterday, then you are not in any position to say if there is or is not a real reason. 

4) How the f**k do you know if I like a country or not? Stop assuming! and remember your opinion isnt as important as a fact!

5) I will admit however that I think that Putin is a dangerous world leader. Russias denial and subsequent charade in how it responded  to the salisbury Novichuk attack is a snapshot of why I think he is dangerous. 

6) I do not dislike Roman - He has done wonders for this club and allowed us to achieve things that I never thought possible when I was growing up supporting Chelsea in the 80s. 

7) You clearly don't know what rational is. I am simply saying that you do not have the facts to be able to make a judgement, and you are wrong to label the  circumstances around Romans visa as a UK phobia (which by dictionary definition means an irrational fear of something). 

8) - Yes - I am the irrational one here. I am the one saying don't jump to conclusions, don't believe press spin, the UK don't make decisions like this lightly without due diligence and intelligence, don't be sensationalist by incorrectly labelling something a phobia etc etc etc.......right.... I am clearly the irrational one. 

This is my last on it, because it seems like you have a certain mindset that seems to think that you having an opinion automatically makes it fact.
