Horrifyingly starting to picture it something like this… We've sadly been down this road with him before. Mendes was heavily intertwined with Kenyon and Mourinho (of course), whereas Pini Zahavi reportedly had the ear of Frank Arnesen and Abramovich himself...
May 20, 20233 yr The general consensus among pundits is we bought massive amount of players that we have no need of. Okay if you think of the current season you can agree with the idea. If you look at 2-3 seasons ahead the sentiment doesn't hold water. That is naturally aligned with how the young signings do. If you are an optimist you see most of our purchaes work out: Chukwuemeka, Santos, DD Fofana, Slolina, Huchinson, Gusto, Casadei... I personally never had any interest in the ideas of the pundits as they are mostly not aligned with our club nor intelligent. What is worrying is our fans listen to it and the same ideas are also smeared through the papers. It was pretty easy to listen to it as we have suffered the worst season of our history and that clouds the bigger idea of buying the best young crop of players for the future. Short term vs long term. At Chelsea the Long term has not been something that is forefront. It is always here and now. All eyes were on the players that played and failed. What does the club do? Buy 18 year old players for 20 million a pop. What the f**k Chelsea?! Save the here and now. I think we need to be that optimist and trust Pochettino is the man to bring these young guys to the big stage in due time and make them what the potential states. We criticize the owners for the season but hopefully we can thank them for what they have potentially done for the future.

At least most of them ought to be relatively unaffected by this season's debacle ! £93.4m spent on acquiring those 7 players LOL, and only 407 minutes of action between them 🙂 Fingers crossed that in a couple of seasons time at least 3 or 4 of them are in the first team.
May 22, 20233 yr It is at the point where a Spurs fan calls in to talk sport to defend Daniel Levy saying be careful what you wish for, you could end up with a Todd Boehly and Jamie O Hara saying that is no reason to stick with Levy, that most owners are no no nothing Muppets like Todd. From one of the top owners in the world to a laughing stock in less than a year. Even Spurs are laughing at us shesh...
May 22, 20233 yr All I know is a year on after these chumps have bought the club I no longer have any interest in game days, haven't managed a whole 90 minutes for weeks and Sunday waited for the 10 min highlight reel, even though I can get every game live every week over here My trust of a safe and successful stewardship by Todd B & his cronies has evaporated just like Chelsea's form this season Thank goodness they left the Chelsea Ladies well alone

May 23, 20233 yr Does anyone know how the Chelsea Ladies set up works within the Chelsea structure? Autonomous? Semi-autonomous?

Not many football fans would confess to have little interest in watching their team play if they were underperforming. Loyal supporter.

Loyal supporter. They might not admit it, but our attendances when we were really sh*te in the past will tell you a lot of us stopped going to games . I'm not admitting I was one of em though ,🤪 and if anyone believes all the loyal supporters stuff the stadium would have been full to bursting instead of the 12,000 to 17,000 crowds. A lot of us went to more away games than we did home games though , some amazing support, often astonishing the opposition fans ! Different now though, we're a totally different club now, wouldn't want a return to those awful days . Edited May 23, 20233 yr by The Rising Sun Info

Anything to do with us not having shirt or sleeve sponsors for next season? That and a lot more i'm sure. Here's what his main tasks were at the club: Glick will assume responsibility for day-to-day operations at Chelsea FC, including managing its global commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, enhancing fan engagement, and creating exceptional experiences for the Club’s fans. A commercial director was also hired back in September be he lasted about a month before he was out.
