I think he's been good since 2019, whereas Rudiger seems to be on a downward trajectory. Based on form i'd give Christensen the nod. Nice to have a defender that can read the game next to Luiz instead of a reactionary one like Rudi.
March 26, 20197 yr Are you joking? The bloke is more defensively naive than Luiz. On par with Zouma. From your own perspective, which of our defenders has been consistently better than Rudiger this season?
March 26, 20197 yr I prefer Rudiger as one of our back two, would like to see some more of Christensen yet instead of Luiz. I would not drop Luiz though just rest him the odd game.

The last two league games chelsea played at Cardiff city we come from behind. 2014 1-0 down come back to win 1-2. And even better 1984 we were 3-0 down with 10 minutes left and got the draw, i was at all those games, and the home game to them this season, which we also went behind in.

Let's pray we don't go behind on Sunday as this season that tends to mean we end up with zero points (with the home game v Cardiff being the exception).

March 29, 20197 yr What I'd like to see: Kepa Dave - Rudi - Christensen - Emerson Kante - Jorginho - Barkley CHO - Giroud - Hazard What I'm expecting: Kepa Dave - Rudi - Luiz - Alonso Kante - Jorginho - Kovacic Willian - Higuain - Hazard Either way I think we should win this one fairly comfortably and I look forward to seeing Colin have his customary whinge post match.
March 29, 20197 yr So happy Chelsea are back this weekend. Now hopefully Chelsea don't make me regret that. International breaks are the devil. If I was picking the team, here it is (because I know you all have been waiting on bated breath for my team selection): Emerson Hazard AC RLC Kepa Jorginho Higuain Rudiger N'Golo Azpi CHO Now that I have delivered the goods, I'm relatively sure we will see Pedro and Willian before CHO and Barkley/Kova before RLC and I'm sure the CB pairing will be the standard Prem pairing of Rudi and Luiz

I'd switch CHO with Hazard as the 2nd left back, otherwise looks good.

March 29, 20197 yr In the presser Sarri effectively confirmed that CHO will be back on the bench Sunday.

I wouldn’t bank on us to win it. Think we would have more of a chance to win it if we play kepa at left back and have a goalkeeper in goal

March 30, 20197 yr Reading my Dad's Daily Wail and a little article under football, Police categorising Cardiff v Chelsea as highest category of violence due to previous form going back to SB in 2010 in FA Cup. Also warned local business to be ready for disorder.

March 30, 20197 yr Must win game for us, Cardiff are fighting for their lives to survive in the league, but our situation isn't any better. We must come hungry and take the points. Sarri will play his regular starting lineup, don't expect for any changes which are disappointing. COME ON CHELS!!!!!
