November 5, 20196 yr Klopp defending Mané's dives, and having a go at City for their tactical fouls. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/11854134/klopp-i-wont-mention-citys-tactical-fouls Needs to be said as they do them all the time, but look at these stats: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49371002 Quote Last season, 58.84% of City's 328 fouls were committed inside the opposition half, the third highest in the Premier League. Who was highest? Liverpool, with 63.17% of their 315 fouls coming in the opponent's territory. I hope Klopp will now condemn his own players.
November 5, 20196 yr looks like Son will get a pass in a bad tackle that resulted into an injury The English FA is a fuckin joke & before anyone say this decision is good or ok, look at the tackle again Edited November 5, 20196 yr by robdog

The injury was an unfortunate consequence, the moment we start red carding due to severity of injury as opposed to the challenge will be a sad day for football. The proverbial can of worms will have been opened, football is a contact sport and injuries do happen sometimes with the faintest of touch. For once the FA did get it right in rescinding the red but question marks do have to be asked about the official looking at the video evidence, in this case he should be helping the onfield referee.
November 5, 20196 yr Agree completely. Son went in from the side and just tripped him . It wasn’t studs up and certainly was not a straight red. It was only a yellow because it was borne from frustration of losing the ball. The break occurred when he then collided with Aurier. Let’s be honest here - if that was a Chelsea player being sent off for that tackle we would be incensed.
November 5, 20196 yr Back in Chopper’s day that’d be considered a dive by Gomes and he’d have been expected to get up and carry on. Bunch of overpaid wussies nowadays. (This is all assumptions btw - I wasn’t born when Chopper was playing )

Tackles from the rear are generally yellow these days ( 20 yrs ago it wouldn't even have been carded). Atkinson's initial decision was correct, he only saw the severity of injury and changed his decision.

If anything Aurier should've gotten a yellow as well. I hope the bast*rd is unavailable when we play them later

That could benefit us as I do see Mane as a diver. Also I think City do tactical fouls especially Sterling when chasing an opponent leans on him with elbow to try and make him lose balance. Keep it up chaps the refs are taking notes.
