the biggest problem we faced was of our own making. We GAVE THEM the goals + we WASTED our chances. We haven't been outplayed. And we had some major injuries. Sure we aren't quite at the Man CIty or Liverpool level, but we only have to play them 2 of the remaining 23 games.

No disrespect it’s not realistic when you say we have no chance of winning the league when we haven’t even reached half a season with 2 points bellow the top of the table. And at no point I made the argument that we are better than city and pool. My main is argument is our fan base are quick to throw in the towel when we lose a game. Yes do city and Liverpool have experience with grinding out result absolutely. Does that mean they’ll maintain that form who knows maybe they can maybe they can’t. And finally I didn’t mean to offended anyone I’m stating an opinion that you may disagree with. Fact is they’re half a season to play for we’re 2 points off the top they’re  still chance to turn things around. In 1998 during this period Arsenal were 12 points adrift of SAF Man United and in  the end they won the double. Trust the team and manager and let’s take it one game at a time

Did not take it as disrespect fella, so don't feel defensive. Everyone is perfectly entitled to their own opinion and not everyone will be right or wrong.

Some of us have just felt festive Chelsea will come out again and it looks likely as we have thrown away points needlessly against United and West ham and got lucky against Watford.

Yes it’s frustrating this week to be a Chelsea fan. not only did we lose  a London derby but Liverpool and City gained points. All we have to do is get back up and push forward. The only silver lining here is the pressure is off the team. We tend to do well when we are under the radar. Let city and Liverpool hog the limelight while we do our business. On to the next fixture

Like we wouldn't win in Porto hey 😉

That’s different. A one off fixture against a better team is always daunting but football is a funny old game.

It must be impossible to win a league competition over 38 games when there are two teams better than you. We were shocking against Watford, dropped points against crap like Burnley and United and lost today. We have lost quite a few players to injury and a couple of them quite long term. And we have an amazing collection of completely useless centre forwards.

I’m a natural born defeatist, but you don’t need to be one of those to see that we’re not strong enough to win the league. Third will have to do.

This is how it looks right now. But that will change soon enough, Roman will sign a new player in January.

Let's see mate.  See uf your confidence is well place. Cause these are our next 5 league games before we face pool:

Dirty Leeds H

Everton H

Wolves A

Aston Gerrard A

Brighton H

Win those and we have gotten over festive Chelsea. Don't and then top 4 is the aim.

I have no qualms about saying it: we will not win the league. Absolutely no chance.

Totally agree. We should improve on our points total from last season, but I cannot see us picking up points consistently enough to stay with the top 2 at the moment. Not without so many key players missing through injury. If we somehow manage to stay within a few points of Liverpool/City by the end of January I might revisit that opinion, but I just cannot see that happening at the moment.

Our best chance of winning something may be in a cup competition, especially if some of the key players return to full fitness towards the business end of the season.

Question for you all, what is the difference between Mendys tackle and Zoumas on Havertz?

Both try to play the ball, both miss, both take out the man. How are they both not pens?

Is it because Kai was likely losing the ball out of play?

Season over. The only thing to to aim for is to be among the teams to qualify to CL. Very tough to achieve with psesent performances.

So frustrating to see us loose/draw against these Mickey Mouse teams one after other.

Is festive Chelsea is what we do always handing out gifts. Leeds, Everton, Wolves, Villa and Brighton must be counting their lucky stars they face this Chelsea and not the top side we were a month back or so.

I’m starting to blame our forwards - they’re not doing the business consistently. Keepers, defence and midfielders are doing their part. The forwards can’t put the ball in the back of the net.

How much have we spent on all these forwards?

How the fark did we lose out this one? The last couple of draws were steal, this one was day light robbery. They did not even have a kick in the game, until 2 of our players f* it up to gift them a goal, and of course Mendy was no where near the PK as usual, next time just stand still and hoping the taker miss. The equalizer was out of no where, 3 defenders next to each us, any one of them could press a big tighter, the shot was a decent one, somehow Mendy missed it again, probably still suffering from the earlier error.  Last one was ridiculous, cross turned into a weak shot, Mendy premeditated and couldn't get back in time, hilarious goal if it happened to another team. The real disappointment was how much or little we offered with Lukaku leading the line, everything was slow and predictable, he's not moving, wider players got no target to aim at, and we just passed the ball around to bore ourselves to death. Put all the emotions aside, this is one of those where the injury and fatigue got to us, people making stupid mistakes they rarely make, and those stepping in again made no impact. Not sure what's the Havertz situation, that's another player we can't afford to lose. I think we may have to buy a couple of players next months if Kante, Chiwell, Kovacic , Chalobah are long term absentees.

Why are people so willing to give up on the season every time we have a bad result? There are issues for sure and not saying we should have our heads in the sand…Citeh and Liverpool have always been stronger favourites for the title…but fcuk me, every time we have won a trophy, there have been some downs along the way.

People are being overly dramatic on here. Liverpool lost by the very same score to West Ham (which out them on a run of two wins in six), Man City have had poor games this season too, and both are still barely ahead of us anyway. We had a poor second half and let in a flukey winner - I am not happy about it and it will certainly ruin my weekend but making sweeping narratives about the season from it is frankly ridiculous. How many times was "top four done" every time we dropped points in the previous three season's for example?

I usually like to give credit to the opposition, but for me Watford gave us a better game than West ham, despite the results.

West ham did nothing that first half and we gifted them the pen.

Second half we are not a threat attacking them but in a normal situation we see the game out 1-2 but our defence goes to pot. Bowens goal was disgraceful from thr defenders, just sitting off and saying have a shot. On top of that Mendy is nowhere near it and it is average effort he should be saving.

Then the third goal...that is just embarrassingly bad. We crafted our goals beautifully, we handed them their 3 on a plate and you just cannot do that.

If the defence is falling to pieces TT is done for cause our attack is poor and our only hope is Mount carrying on this form.
