We can't slow down the pace of the game when 3 of our CBs and Mendy constantly wastes it going long without finding anyone.

It also doesn't help that the 50-50s are not going our way.

Imo we need a ball carrier today in some capacity

Newcastle have already demonstrated they can counter quick. You need to be aware of that when in a frantic end to end sequence. Anyway I agree Kovacic's legs would be welcomed and the ability to carry the ball.

Might be overreacting here but I am still gonna rant.

Can we stop making a bunch of plumbers and delivery guys like Lascelles, Targett and all that lot looking like elite level players? I cant help but notice that each and every time we play against relegation teams, they are playing at 150% while when they face City or Pool, they easily take 3 dicks up their assess with no effort.

For example, I was watching Brighton vs Pool yesterday. Spineless performance from Brighton but in the 2 games against us, Cucurella was thinking he was prime Roberto Carlos and the other c**ts were playing as if they were at the CL Final.

I am just gutted.

It's because we don't inspire that same fear these days.

Other supporters I'm friends with always thinks they can beat us even when the scoreline is going our way. They don't think that when up against City and Pool.

Thiago Silva for me, and it's not even close anymore. Jorginho and Mendy were up there at the start of the season, but they had a dip in form. Thiago Silva has kept his levels the same all season.

I would say rudiger runs silva close but it’s silva for me too. Would be surprised if anyone else gets it

Almiron full on kicked Ziyech on the shin, no card.

Now I am glad he didn't card him. Probably went a bit lenient on Kai. That could have easily been a red.

He's the one who sent Thiago off against WBA last season (2-5)

He's also the same ref on VAR the day Lo Celso dangerously left his foot in on Azpilicueta. He gave nothing at the time and then 10 minutes later said he got it wrong and should have sent Lo Celso off. He's also the same ref that didn't send Pickford off for killing Van Dijk.

It's hard to get fair reffing when the whole country is against us.

I'm not saying the ref is bent btw, just saying that public opinion will sway decisions

What the hell, why does this ref has so many horror stories against us?

Should be lots of room for counterattacks when Newcastle are pressing us high up the pitch, wich they did several times this half.

Exactly. We refuse to play the ball over the top

Last time we had that we won the league.. I hope TT can use the siege mentality.

Referee David Coote

In February 2020, Coote was the video assistant referee for the match between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. During the game, Giovani Lo Celso committed a serious foul when he stamped on Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta. On reviewing the incident, Coote deemed the foul not worthy of a red card and Lo Celso escaped a sending off. Coote would later admit to having erred and stated he should have recommended a red card for Lo Celso.[4]

And in 2017 he was suspended just before the start of the season following allegations of misconduct.

I think that’s what you’d call previous.
