It has been a very good wc. It turns out having wc at December is a very good thing because players look much fresher than usual international tourney.

He did not miss, it was saved by a great penalty stopper.

This is why WC is so special, forget the politics, this WC has been so good. Brazil is a team full of talents, but probably the least likeable Brazil with the likes of Neymar, Antony , Richarlison etc. Glad they lost, and no more dancing in the face of the opposition. Argentina had the game in the bag, then came the Burnley team, got love it if the normal 90 minutes game became 102. That last second free kick combo was out of the world, imagine if they fark it up 😁 England and France are the most complete teams in the compeition, whoever wins that one should be the favorite for the cup. But, if Moroco or Croatia wins it on PK in the final, I have no problem

Brazil doesn't play anti-football that's not in their culture. Croatia had 1 shot on target in 120 minutes played, Brazil had 11, there is no doubt in my mind that the World Cup is now poorer as neutrals won't be able to see Argentina:Brazil, that's all.

Good points though think Portugal might have a say if they can keep Ronaldo on the bench.

Never liked LVG just way too arrogant for my liking with his total football idealogy which was like an octopus with its tentacles strangling the game.

Thought Scaloni got the tactics spot on to beat Holland until  LVG forgets total football and plays long ball with De Jong and Weghorst and with their height they caused problems for Scaloni's team. It was like Napoleon throwing in the old guard, it almost worked. Argentina stopped running and allowed Holland to play crosses towards the tall guys, almost too late they started running again and we got ET and penalties.

LVG certainly had a good team they just run out of luck.

LVG made a point about the penalty and I also thought it might have been a free kick on the edge of the box, Messi might have gone for that strange handball in the middle of the park, and VVD for a second yellow for that huge shoulder barge on I think De Paredes after he angrily kicked the ball at the dug out.  I also noticed Neymar could have gone for a foul and a kick yet even with poor refs none of the them want to kill the World Cup ala Clattenburg and the battle of the bridge revelations.

Still two great goals from Molina and Weghorst.

@azpi28 pretty much explained it. Brazil were tactically outclassed yesterday.

And in most of the cases, neutrals support the underdog.

Not really, unless you honestly believe that playing every match for a penalty shootout is a good tactic.

a 37 yr old modric dominated the game for 120 minutes and you think Brazil were tactically superior? The midfield of Brazil was outclassed by Croatia. Vini Jr was invisible and taken out of the game by Croatia.
