December 18, 20223 yr If France wins they will become the third nation in history that has won the World Cup twice in a row. The last team that managed to achieve that feat was Brazil in 1962 after winning first in 1958. This is without the number 9 of Real Madrid, number 7 of CFC and so on... Just crazy. Otherwise if they lose, it's a 50% win rate in the finals for them since they lost in 2006 and won in 1998 and 2018.
December 18, 20223 yr It’s not at all obvious that they want Argentina to win this World Cup with the amount of soft penalties they get awarded …
December 18, 20223 yr It's soft, but Dembele is an idiot for pushing him in the back. Just keep your hands off him and the ref doesn't give it.
December 18, 20223 yr Wow France just have not turned up at all. Such an insipid display for a World Cup final
December 18, 20223 yr So that McAllister chap (the least Argentinian name ever!) is quite good! I’m not saying we need him, but just acknowledging another good talent the Brighton team recruited. Points more to our recruiting deficiencies. Nice second goal. France haven’t turned up
December 18, 20223 yr EXACTLY how I thought England could shock France, Argentina just did, 2 sucker punches and the end. Di Maria carried Argentina in 2014 and now won a penalty and scored as well on that counter. Underrated left winger for sure, now nuttmegged Kounde. France 0 shots on target and suddenly having less possession doesn't help them at all. Edited December 18, 20223 yr by Gol15

December 18, 20223 yr The only pass France have got right is between their CBs. Credit to Argentina, played with intent and have not been afraid to attack.
December 18, 20223 yr Too bad the second half will now be spent rolling around the floor and surrounding the ref by these Argentina players like they're doing at the halftime whistle.
December 18, 20223 yr Everything can still change, but putting Mbappe at the same level as some of the top players to play the game seems premature. The guy has been nothing more than a speed merchant against any decent side. All he does is knock it past a player and has a foot race, or tries a one two and gets into another foot race. I'm not surprised that he wants to stay in France, you'll need more than that in a top league.
