Aubameyang is better.

That's why we paid a good deal of money and Alonso for a player let go by arsenal for free.

Aubameyang is only young. Give him time. A parting gift from TT.

We were bound to get one ex Arsenal dud eventually, law of averages.

Hutchinson will resume normal service soon enough.

The way we're playing and the direction we're heading, just dread the return to club football. Can't this world cup go on for another 3 months.

I always had this argument against Messi, and now it's gone. He's done it like a real great, whoever says he's the best ever I can't disagree anymore.

Argentina will celebrate this forever I think. And the price of the young Fernandez just went up after he got the young player of the tournament award.

It’s still £103 million Gol. That’s his buyout. He has complicated ownership though as Benfica only own 75% of his economic rights.

Mbappe looked like he was resisting the urge to tell him to f**k off 😆

Didn't see Rishi Sunak, (or whoever the Prime Minister is this week), rushing on to the pitch for a photo opportunity consoling Harry "what a sh*t penalty" Kane at the end of the quarter final.

Possibly the GOAT of world cup final, had everything, filled with dramas and surprises. Argentina was in charge, until the moment Di Maria went off for another left back , totally lost momentum going forward. Scolani be having nightmare about that sub had France won it. Unreal save by Martinez just before the PK, could have been another 4:3. Pick between 2 GKs, Martinez obviously had the edge over Loris, but those 4 Argentinan Penalties were superb. Elite sports rarely has fairy tale ending, Messi out of all people deserved one. He reinvented himself for the national team, and deserved some luck. Mbabape scored the hat trick and deserved all the applause, but until the first penalty kick he was not in the game at all, similar to Messi of last couple of world cups ( great player but could be out of the game without service). Never a fan of the GOAT debate on Messi or CR7, but one carried the team to the cup, the other couldn't get into the starting team, so no contest on this occasion.

It was never a contest, or shouldn't have been.

I respect Ronaldo a lot and he worked incredibly hard to have the career he has had but Messi is on another level.

Has been linked to us, along with other sides too. Am expecting Mac Alister soon will be too

I would probably have suggested him if he didn't sign a new deal at Villa.

He'd have had two years left next summer had he not but as it is he has four and they hold all the cards.

Todd is happy to pay stupid money, this time he could say he did so for a WC winner or 2, not a couple of guys that came here as a retirement home...

Happy for Messi, amazing professional and player. Deserved.

Alright - I’ve had enough of all these goals and free flowing attacking football. I’m ready for some sideways action again - let’s go Potter ball!!!!

And a massive congrats to Messi and Argentina. Not my favorite team, but respect their fight and massive admiration for the career of Messi.

Can’t wait to go from the greatest game ever played to watching Chelsea fail to break down Bournemouth.

It will be quite the spectacular occasion I am sure...
