December 10, 20223 yr Morocco already knockout out the 2 former colonial powers, time for France to fall cause if they reach the final again it's once again a walk in the park for them which makes the World Cup a sh*t tournament... I believe in the wizard Hakim the dream Ziyech.
December 10, 20223 yr Bad luck England , it wasn’t to be…how many times have I said that since 1970? Played well overall, chances though have to be taken at this level Crazy decision by Southgate to take Saka off , he had caused problems throughout the second half MBappe bar one run not really in the game, though Griezeman caused us problems Bellingham and Rice had good games Oh ‘Arry!
December 10, 20223 yr Condolences to the England fans on here, painful way to lose. Big hugs for the proud Pomurian Englishman @Munkworth, you must be devastated.

December 10, 20223 yr Shame for England that Kane went full Spurs. England still a youngish team. Still time for them. Just got to find two central defenders in the next four years. Stones and Macguire criminal in that second goal.

Actually crazy how well France have done without him. What a player. Lets hope he can get back to fitness and haul us into the top four.

Agree with all of that charierre. Spot on about Saka. He was ripping them to shreds. They didn't know what do with him. Couldn't believe Southgate took him off, for Sterling of all people. It's a real shame. I am 61 years old and have never seen our country in the state it is in now. There is so much wrong it is hard to know where to begin. The country badly needs some self-belief. Something to galvanize it. Something to unite people. For sure it wouldn't solve all our problems, but winning a World Cup would have really given us a real lift.

Your right about the state of the country, it’s on it knees and does require a springboard. I think one thing judging on this World Cup that can be put to bed is Rice in the right set up alongside good players would thrive.

Defensively is the weak spot. What Stones and Macguire were doing no idea. Ten top right backs and no centre backs.

December 11, 20223 yr That Giroud guy, made us look silly every season with his bags of goals. Even for a Spurs player, I have sympathy for Kane. The mind game got into his head as he was trying to out-fox his team mate again. An Extra time be fitting for a game like this, England probably be favourite with all the extra attackers on the field had they got there. Moroco is special, beat Portugal fair and square, should have won by more with better last pass or shot. Portugal got into the Brazilian spirit, just dive around everytime there's a touch, and ruined their own momentum. The football has been great this WC, the amount of players throwing themselves on the ground or waving arms madly for VAR with no apparent reasons are just absurd.

I was dead serious. Kante at his best domaintes those 3, and basically most combos you can name. Would have been great to see him against Essien in his pomp.

And would an England World Cup win lifted the other home countries?

December 11, 20223 yr Very philosophical this morning, let’s be honest the best team won, maybe not for the whole match but they are yet again a strong team, where do they keep pulling these strong midfielders out year after year ! Great goals, and Giroud 36 ! Still not hair out of place however I do think from his playing days through to his managerial career, an ex-Chelsea man I reckon is one of the most underrated leaders in world football : mr Deschamps. Right that’s enough of the French love in Off to watch a bit of the cricket cheer myself up
