Glad to see the back of this season. Not been a fun one, especially with what happened to Roman and the club.

Wretched display against a championship side. Again our attackers look league 2 level. Need vast improvement next season.

Enjoy the summer break ladies and gents, let's see what the new owners have in store.

Underwhelming end to an underwhelming season. And as one half of Manchester (already 20 points ahead) signs Haaland to fix a  narrow semi final defeat and yet another league win, we have lost a few players whilst a hedge fund still struggles to buy and milk us dry. I for one can’t wait for us taking 5000 to a league game at Walsall again. But some I know still harbour fantasies of us making up 20 odd points and putting Pep’s team in its place.

Yeah, it is a bit depressing when you think how far ahead City and pool are and they just are getting better. We lost Roman who might have tried to get us there. Tough for us to be in contention for the league in the foreseeable future.

if city continues to reach at least 90 points almost every season, it will be impossible to win again.

That’s pretty unfair to league 2 attackers. I’ve seen better Sunday league finishing

Strange game today, became so boring in the second half on the pitch. Wasn’t much better off it until City equalised. Then we were chanting more for City! Especially after another charity goal from our defence.

Numbers not great at final whistle to say fair well and thank you to some. Interesting to see no Alonso on the pitch after the game.

Yeah shows a sad state of affairs that our crowd only reason to get up and sing and celebrate this season  end was because Pool didn't win the league, living vicariously through Cities success.

I have hopes from Kai, mount, Reece and Thiago.. trust they will keep us competitive..

but I do hope we stop this back 3 nonsense.. for 5 mins we played a back 4 and we’re creating a goal a minute.. before switching to a back 3 and conceding..

I am glad somebody said it. When we left 2 cb behind instead of 3 suddenly the game was watchable.

Kudos to Ross on getting us a very welcome home victory in the last game of a largely sh*tty season.

I actually think if he had a brain he would be a decent player.

But as he was born a scouser, it is way beyond the realms of possibility.

Ferguson's United were like this in the 90's and guess some said this about us in the 2005-2010 period.

All we can do is compete the best we can and try and win our games against them, fortunately Pep is a bonus in that regard as he tends to over compensate when trying to win big games.

I think I did see Alonso.

The best thing about these sh*t performances is that Todd Boehly has been there to see it, so he will know that work needs to be done to improve this team.

Not being disingenuous, but does he actually know what a sh*te performance is when it comes to football? Watching football for few years against watching for 50+ years may not give the true picture of what a bad team / player is apart from the final score; same for me even after watching most NA sports in Canada I couldn't tell you the nuances and intrigues of the games I watch, just the final score and some stats tells me who the best team and players are as I don't watch them every game.

While City have clearly thrown millions at their title winning seasons City winning the title 5 out of last 6 years says it all while Liverpool have not. Liverpool have gradually achieved success by having a direction, buying the right players that fit into the way Klopp wants to play and buying them at reasonable prices; whereas we have splashed millions on mediocre players with no real direction or plan as we have kept changing managers with different ideas, which may be great for a season or two but they get fired and it starts the cycle again and then we lose ground. Hopefully going forward and Roman now just a memory that we will see some stability and vision ...although I admit I have not enjoyed TT's set up so far, whether that's down to players he is inherited or not we will soon find out over the next couple of seasons...if he lasts that long.

Yep, our recruitment has been terrible. It feels we buy players without any thought to the manager or system. Conte wanted Lukaku and we gave him Morata. And we buy players like Drinkwater, Barkley, Bakayoko and so many more when we clearly needed upgrades in other positions at that time. I really hope the scouting team is moved on and Tuchel is properly backed by his players.
