They haven't looked good. They've played against a Palace side with a broken pre season and a good few injuries and they have looked the inferior side outside of the first 20 minutes.

Palace dominated from the 45th till the 80th minute

Why are carragher and Neville w**king themselves off over that arsenal performance? Started well but after that palace had the chances to get a point.

They really got lucky with that own goal. those last 8 minutes would have been long and difficult for them

I love Andersen, his long balls are something else. It’s almost Fabregas esque.

Ok I think I’m going a little too far but I love it when centre backs can ping the ball about.

He was really good today

Sky Sports love Arsenal.

As Neville and Carragher have said a good few times they were one of the original big boys when the Premier League was created back in 92.

So they deep down Sky Sports probably want Arsenal back up there near the top so they can go over the top with praise for them.

If Chelsea had played exactly how Arsenal had done tonight they would be saying how we got away with one and concentrating on the Palace misses.

Exactly

they would say a set piece and an own goal. Then ask TT negative questions

oh now they are asking arteta how pleased were you that you were resilient

you could also ask why did palace outplay you second half and why weren’t you able to play like you did in the first 20 minutes

they use positively framed questions not even open questions

I read Neville and Carragher has criticized the club over signing Cucurella.

He’s doubting chelsea

he feels something isn’t stable

he’s talking about some sort of dissatisfaction

does anyone know what he’s on about?

is he projecting his feelings about Man Utd on Chelsea?

They did, they was on about it before the match tonight.

They are afraid, they are worried about us possibly re-emerging as title challengers in the near future.

When other clubs like Arsenal for example spend a lot of money (and they have for the past couple of seasons) they are building something special.

When we spend a lot of money we are overpaying for players.

Didn’t arsenal pay the same amount of money last season as we have so far more or less (and finished 5th)

Yep, their net spend was the biggest in the Premier League last season while we actually made a profit despite buying Lukaku, but guess which one is constantly brought up by the media and which one is hardly ever brought up.

Really odd. Arsenal gave away 2 really good chances that Palace should have scored from and created almost nothing in the entire game. They put a bit of early pressure on Palace, but outside of that, there wasn't really much there to be impressed by. Ramsdale almost gave away a comical own goal too and looked a bit rattled after that.

They were hoping we would be made to go out of business and are disappointed it did not happen.
