July 30, 20223 yr At this current rate (provided we don't sign anyone new) 1.City 2.Liverpool 3.Spurs (possibly 2nd if Liverpool pick up a few injuries) 4.United 5.Chelsea 6.Arsenal 7.Newcastle 8.Leicester 9.West Ham 10. Wolves 17.Fulham 18.Everton 19.Bournemouth 20.Leeds

Just venturing a guess why Zeta made that prediction. Poundland version lol Argo. Would be more funny if he was not an upgrade on Havertov lite and Jesper Wernabee.

July 30, 20223 yr Not convinced that Arsenal will be amazing this season all because of one pre season match and the signing of Jesus. They flatter to deceive every year. I do think Spurs will have a good season though. They’ve made some good signings. As for us, I was feeling quite optimistic but the lack of signings has put a damper on it. Maybe we’re over-reacting. I think 3rd or 4th is about right. Hopefully having Chilwell will be a massive upgrade and take us back to pre-Juventus form.
July 30, 20223 yr I think we'll finish ahead of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United. I don't think we'll catch City, but I can see us being 2nd.

More they are slightly improved I think, and we are all over the place and will likely fall down. Although Arsenal will still be quite inconsistent, I think they have a good setup mostly, and play some good football. Jesus improves them a lot. And when they are fluid, they can beat anyone. We on the other hand, are 7 days from the start opf the season, still needing 1-2 CBs, attackers, maybe midfielders. Need to sell or loan about 10 players. Our squad is unbalanced and weak.

I disagree they play good football (for the most part), there's a reason Arteta has been compared to Pulis. We've also signed one of the best defenders in the world, one of the best inside forwards aswell as a £60m midfielder (around his cost if Palace owned him) returning. Failure to get top 4 (barring more obscene injury and ownership crisis) then Tuchel's job should be on the line in my opinion. Arsenal and Spurs both had tailor made circumstances to overhaul us last season and still couldn't manage it. I'll happily accept the top 2 is probably going to be a big ask but I'm really not seeing the hype with the NL duo.
July 30, 20223 yr If Man City wins the league again and if Liverpool is second again it's literally not a very competitive league at all...

He turned down Gabriel Jesus, he turned down Kounde. If we lack in the market and don't add others is partly on him as well.

July 30, 20223 yr No-one tipping Newcastle to muscle into the mix ? This was the table for the second half of last season : Edited July 30, 20223 yr by Sexyfootball

July 30, 20223 yr Our core squad is always competitive for top 4 but as it stands only barely so, we could come 4th, 5th or 6th as it stands. If we sign a good striker or Broja plays a blinder then we can compete for 3rd, maybe even better. Don't forget this squad was pseudo-competing for the title last season until the wingbacks got injured.

Its a huge drop from Kante, James and Chilwell in form, to playing Azpilicueta, Alonso and not having Kante in our pivot. These are some of the most injury prone players we got. Until we get better cover for these players, then we will struggle to get a CL spot. Problem is that we also really need another central defender and a forward as well.

The more we do the better our chances but I still think our squad as it stands now is capable of challenging in some capacity. As long as everyone is fit etc.
