doesn't Southampton play with a back 4? if so those stats are very high for a FB (for reference Reece James is in the 92% quartile for Progressive Carries while being a wingback)

he has also played 30+ games as a left back

he's a good player, still relatively young as well (25), and 30 million would be quite cheap for a 25 yr old England International 

good player to have as he can also play on the left

I always thought he was alright. Can play on the left as well. As a bonus he adds to the home-grown quota. 

Shame he used to play for Tottenham really...

the more fun it will be if he will turn out to be a good player!

and he can add to the long list of players winning a trophy who left Tottenham!

feel like this one is one of those signings where initially people aren't very enthusiastic but overtime he will prove people wrong 

i'd take him over Dumfries to be honest

he fits the profile of what TT looks for in a wingback

Had he not been injured Livramento could have been a more likely option. He forced KWP to go to left back as he played so well.

Lamptey and James Justin are good players too, particularly like Lamptey. Shame he got injured last season, was a joy to watch
