I’ll make the point again….. everything is rumour and 99% of it bullsh*t. The current rumour, being treated as fact by many, is that Brighton have Kudus lined up as a Caceido replacement. Neither of us have any idea whether thats true and so he could be a goalkeeper for all it matters!

Kudus is lined up to replace Mac Allister.  Ugochukwu was Brightons Caicedo replacement.

If they don't want to sell then they shouldn't have explicitly told the world he would be leaving this summer, same as McAllister.

But late to pull the rug out from under a disillusioned player now.

No wonder Kudus doesn't want to join them.

Can't see many promising players wanting to join The Lizard In The Lanes after the way Brighton & Hove FC have handled this one.

We have broja.

Depends where you will to end up this season in the Premier league, maybe 12th position again.

Broja is by no chance a 10 goals per season striker. So what's he doing at Chelsea?

And Chukwuemeka will be our backup number 10.  Pointless having these players if we aint gonna play them when an opportunity arrises.

Must we have all the average players in the world at Chelsea? Are you seeing the quality of the premier league now?

Sometimes I just wonder if some fans see the quality of the players in other teams before suggesting we keep some players.

What we should be saying is that they are not good enough for Chelsea, so they should go. Broja cannot play against so many teams and be a threat to them, so why play him?

The few times I watched Chukwuemeka, I can't see that kind of player being a threat to big teams. So if they are not good enough for us, they should go.

We are supporting Chelsea to at least see them competing against big teams. These players cannot make us compete against big teams.

We need better players.

Caicedo didn't play since Sunday just to force his move to Chelsea and Chelsea has not signed him since then.

This is really bad. I wonder what the board is doing.

Would Chelsea want players to join them and leave the following year for other top teams when they have 4-5 yr contracts? Kudus, Caciedo and other players just want to use Brighton as a  springboard to the PL and fair play to Brighton for not wanting to tolerate this. They are trying to  build a top team to compete for trophies and Europe and cant afford to let their good players leave after a year or two. very unstable for the club.

So are the South American clubs they are stripping their best players of.

So are we also stripping South American clubs of their best players, buying Santos and all?

But if that we're the case they would publicly announce that said player is not for sale at any price. The bids then stop. This whole scenario and others have occurred because they have given an inkling that the player is obtainable.

Your argument doesn't stand up if you're using different criteria for different clubs in the same situation.

The logical conclusion to your point is that clubs should not be allowed to buy players. Fair enough mate, but you're loving in cloud cuckoo land.

But they didnt

They literally said they would both leave in May, were you under a rock?

Ever since then it's been never ending "negociating" and moving goalposts.

Compared to Rice, who's English and more confirmed at the top level for a longer period, it's not like Chelsea are offering peanuts.

Final bid imminent. 90m +8-10m add ons. Should be ready for Sunday.

It’s happening.

So Brighton get the full amount in the end eh? Only way that is ok is all the add ons are based on us winning either a PL or CL.

Sorry, didn't realise we were talking about Real Madrid...

Of course players will want to use Brighton as a stepping stone. They ARE a stepping stone. A season of conference or Europa league will hardly make top talent like Kudus want to sign a 6 year deal with a 250m release clause.

As "well" run as they are or seem to be, we were saying the same about Leicester and Southampton for buying cheap and selling high.

Where are they right now?

It's not okay in any case, we've had our pants pulled down.

Kante was a prem winner mvp player and he was one third the price. This is madness.

You're right, I remember the de Zerbi interview quite clearly

for us this is annoying but imagine that club in Ecuador with the sell on clause

20 million is a fortune for that club. I don't know if they have shaman's in Ecuador but i bet they are working on it
