Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"

Featured Replies

Rather we explore the possibility of Tchouameni if we haven't already. Unless Caicedo puts in a transfer request and demands a move I see no reason why we should get bent over backwards for Brighton yet again.

Caicedo needs to put in a transfer request.

What Caicedo, and his agent, needed to do was put a minimum fee clause in his new contract.

MaC Allister would have cost around this amount had his agent not done so.

I think its more than evident Brighton clearly value Caicedo a lot higher than MacAllister. They wouldn't of entertained that.

We need to do what Man Utd did to us.

State taht we are also looking at alternatives. Then put an official bid of £40m in for Lavia.

In reality we would like both anyway, so it won't hurt us to do this, and it might encourage Brighton to play fair on their previous assurances to their player.

Then don't sign the new deal.

Yeah, and if you still want to move, put in a transfer request.

Caicedo made this situation difficult himself.

I mean he tried the transfer request and written goodbye in January. That really made a difference to how Brighton felt.

Basically Tony Bloom is the English ADL. Mac Allister and his team dealt smartly with him, Caicedo and his did not.

We are wasting time and need to move on. Apparently all our transfer focus is on this deal.

Again, Brighton clearly value Caicedo over MacAllister. They would've never entertained a release clause in his extension. His extension was merely a pay increase and a promise to sell him in the summer for the right amount. He didn't officially table down a transfer request out of respect for Brighton back in January.

Unless he officially puts in a transfer request the situation will remain difficult. No way should anyone pay over 100m for him.

So Clearlake's stellar recruitment rumbles on, sell/ release all of the clubs experienced midfielders, announce to the world you want this chap, then put a line in the sand only for Brighton (who have mugged off Todd twice already) to laugh and say nothing less than a 100 mill, having recently witnessed The Pikeys do the same to the Arse.

Meanwhile one of the afore mentioned mids went out the door for 30 mill less than Clearlake's/ Bully's initial selling price valuation.

Anyone see a pattern here ?

Is he still leaving Brighton? Is he coming to Chelsea?  I mean there is a lot of money in this potential deal.  Caicedo is considered to be GT -  eek!

Generation 'Game' Talent. Maybe? Lots of potential for sure.  I won't use GT phrase again. lol.

I like him. The money is obviously a HUGE concern. Because if he doesnt live up to his potential, then i can hear the 'what a waste of money' chants.  Haunting.

Deal on or OFF?

Maybe this deal is off and as we are after Romeo Lavia anyways.  Romeo Lavia and Enzo and Santos and Gallagher and chukwuemeka and maybe a grown up?  I would go to to PSG and sign Leandro Padres on a FREE. Padres just turned 29. so he has experience rather than potential. But he is got some skills. He is feisty.

PSG won't deal with us. They think Todd is a tw@t. How dare they.

Just get Amrabat and Lavia or that. Dude from Spain we are linked with, L. Marinez for Lukaku sorted, cheeky bid for De Gea..

Barella for Lukaku

The Moises Caicedo deal is not about the final number but more payment structure. Insiders say Chelsea are still pushing for around the £80m mark but if the deal ends up near £100m, then Chelsea will have a better payment structure. (@JacobsBen) #CFC

Wonder what it is about payment structure that matters so much to our new owners.

Really are spending too much time on this day, as well as too much money on an unproven player.

Perhaps they're thinking about the Mount/Lukaku situations they got into and how caving in to some players outrageous demands for massive salaries they haven't proved they're worth can upset the apple cart or come back and bite you in the bum later.

We don' have to bid for De Gea as he is a free agent. We just need to pay his extortionate wages
