This is why I don't buy this nonsense that we are a midtable team or have to accept a few seasons in 7th.

We may be too flawed to compete with City over 38 games right now but we have a capable squad. Our B/C team is going to toe to toe with them and not looking remotely out of place (so far, touch wood). All be it against there's too but there a much more developed squad.

Getting cut open very easily, look decent on the counter attack though. Poor finishing by both sides, especially from us, is the reason why it's 0-0 at half time.

Lovely to watch a game where both sides try and play good football.

Gutted for Hall, he blew that chance after doing the hard bit. He has looked good so far.

Hall has been brilliant but still he had to score 

but he wouldn’t be ready for the first team if he didn’t miss a couple of big chances

Quite possible. Then again if we were leading at the break, he would probably just bring them on sooner.

Broja first touch would worry me a bit that he’d make top grade. His strength and pace is great though and sort of makes up for it.

I'm a bit surprised we did so well. Counter attacking out of necessity though. Hall has done well. He looks strong on the ball and just needed that  bit of composure in front of goal.

Also worth saying Ziyech has looked good, used the ball well. Trev has been a rock as well. Pulisic and Broja have ran at them well but lacked quality.

He isn't perfect by a long shot, but Pulisic should be starting for us over the other lot, so much more direct

True but we've had the skill and composure to play out and cause them problems which a lot of teams find next to impossible (whether by lack of skill, coaching or both).

After the shambles against Brighton and Arsenal it's nice to see us have a clear game plan

No argument on lazy, though a lot harder working than Havertz, but control of the ball has been good and he has picked thr right pass a few times.

Should have had an assist had Pulisic not finished weakly, made a clever pass in the move that ended up with the hall chance.

Yeah but it's not comfortable viewing watching us try to play out, it's like watching Evil Dead as a 13yo all over again.
