After 20 years of winning things we rarely made a profit and ended up with over a £1.5 billion debt. . But if we carry on like this we'll have a similar debt and no trophies! No doubt the profit for our investors comes from selling the club on in 10 years time . His argument is its just a business though, if that's the case they're going to struggle to make a profit if they run the club into the ground! Lessons will be learned and we'll be fighting for silverware again in no time.

For example: So why make things up? One season. You can't honestly think our medical department has been up to scratch since Eva left. As mentioned on the post before, you're only as good as your last season in this sport. (https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/20970579/chelsea-injuries-europe-players-worried/) From January 2023, so doesn't take into account the ones we've had since then. Chelsea have suffered 97 injuries since start of last season – more than ANY other team in Europe – with players worried. Medical department is fine though. The owners have tried to fix that by improving the medical department and ground staff, which I and no one else should have an issue with.

Because that mindset there is exactly why for example Mount is leaving this summer. It's also why Tuchel was sacked after a challenging year. Forgive me for not having much faith in our strategy at the moment. You can check the numbers if you want btw. Historically we've been one of the top teams with the least injuries.

Historically we've been one of the top teams with the least injuries. We're not losing Mount because of this seasons performances though, we're losing him because we won't pay him what he's worth. Tuchel sacking was also due to behind the scenes issues as is widely reported, not performance related. Last two seasons have been horrific for injuries, something had to change.

I think many Chelsea fans feel the same way about that.

I think many Chelsea fans feel the same way about that. Can only speak for myself but I find it very odd we were happy to pay top amounts to keep Reece James, an amazing player with a terrible injury record, but not Mount, a very good player who, before this season, had a very good injury record. That's without getting in to Sterling being on Lukaku money and Koulibaly not being far behind.
May 23, 20233 yr Think James' absence of the game this early on will prolong his playing career should he finally get over these injury niggles. Walker had a similar injury issues early on and now he looks like the best RB on the planet and just pocketed Vinicius Jr. at 32 years old.

I wonder if Reece needs surgery to fix these on going problems. Did he also set his own recovery back by pushing so far to make the world cup squad?
May 23, 20233 yr It was the knee that kept him out of the WC. Specialists decided surgery wasn't needed. Latest injury is his hammy. Is there a connection between the two issues?
July 17, 20233 yr Wonder when they’ll be more news on his recovery. Hope we see him training sometime August or September.

July 26, 20232 yr Not terrible, but not great. Quote Benoit Badiashile’s recovery from his hamstring injury is going faster than expected. He is currently ahead of schedule. #Chelsea have set a target for him to be available for the third game of the season. [via @NathGissing]

With our fixture list and assuming Silva, Trev and Levi are all fit, we don't need to rush Benoit, and building his fitness nicely in the dev squad will be great.
July 26, 20232 yr When it says back for the third game, is that actually back or is it another month to get up to fitness?
July 26, 20232 yr Third game is August 25. Hard to interpret the message as anything other than ready to play on August 25. Which I find hard to believe.

September 6, 20232 yr Ecstatic that he is fit. Would love to see him partner Colwill at CB some time. Two cool heads.
