Enzo Fernandez - not wanted in England, the Falklands or probably Argentina now

Not sure where this deadline has come from tbh but as has been said it’s kind of pointless.

The club may announce Enzo is no longer for sale and is staying but that will probably require a new contract which I’d rather not give him.

There is only one deadline.

He has 6 years left on the current contract - he;'s 25 - if he wants to play silly buggers let him sit out his best years like boggard. -if you want big money play for it

Me too.

It would just be the latest attempt to shoehorn Enzo into the starting eleven. I'm really hoping Alonso is above all that nonsense.

I think he may play Enzo the Remainer between Palmer and Rogers in a more advanced role.

Palmer Fernandez Rogers with Pedro up top = top 4 imo

The deadline is very specific £120 million at 5pm today. It didn’t say you can’t big about that after today and I suspect if city comes back with £130 million up front he goes.

Yes, it could be bad news for Estevao and Quenda ... that's always possible. At least in the short-term until Alonso realises what most of us know already ...

Well with the sad news it looks like we’re stuck with this wetty I’d expect us to line up something like this against Fulham

Sanchez

James, Colwill, Lacroix

Palestra, Chavvaria

Caicedo

Stevie, Palmer, Rogers

JP

you had me at "Sanchez"... 😄

I don't believe a thing clubs say when talking about deadlines and player sales; it's all part of the negotiation.

As I understand it, regardless of all the briefings and the bullsh*t hopium being put out there that a bigger fee than £120m might end up happening the actual reality on 14/08, two weeks before the window closes is that no bid from anybody for any amount has been submitted to the club. Nobody wants him at our price, even a sizeable number of our own fanbase.

And as usual another day goes sailing past where these moronic imbeciles that apparently are such excellent businessmen have done sweet fck all in moving players, in or out.

Alas Eghbali still hasn't accepted that he made a colossal error of judgement in signing off on such a large fee for Enzo. Repeating the same bullsh*t with Delap. I guess they are hoping that some other club has worse decision-makers than we have ...

Hopefully City will be in for him after they've sold Rodri and they've already told us that behind the scenes.

We should be doing everything we possibly can to re-unite Maresca with Enzo, Gusto and Neto.

I think if it were up to Maresca he'd spend the £120m on Gusto!

If there is a face saving deal to be done that is potentially one route, as ludicrous as it appears. If they get a combined £180m for Fernandez and Gusto they can juggle it to make it look like they got what they wanted. Even though these clowns have been valuing Gusto at a ridiculous £75m

the market is awash with crazy prices ....Enzo at 120+ Neto at 70 Gusto at 75 dont look so far out of place .. hope Blue Co hold their nerve.🤞

City need these players more than we need to shift them - keep the faith👊

I'm happy if Enzo's staying, does seem like unless we get a higher offer than £120m now we'd accept.

The Twitter discourse on it is funny when you've got people claiming he's not going to be popular with Chelsea fans anymore etc, when we all know he's a goal and a badge kiss away from being a fan favourite again, that's just how this sport works.

He's never been a fan favourite amongst match day fans, only Nigerians on Twitter, a goal won't change a thing

I think you'd be surprised, before the World Cup I didn't know any Chelsea fan personally that didn't like him. Football's a fickle business.

Well lads, it's time to get used to the idea that Enzo will stay and will continue to play pretty much the same amount of minutes as usual.

And will wear the captain armband since James can’t stay fit. 🤮

This deal could still happen if Rodri goes, Enzo knows how much city would have paid him and if city do bid an acceptable amount I think the club would still sell the ‘deadline’ passing was apparently just the set amount so I doubt this isn’t finished yet .

I just hope city don’t start playing games after the Maresca debacle with us and bid late.
