Don’t like Enzo. Great footballer. Excellent tactician. Awful personality. The boos today were completely warranted and sent a message but from next week, as long as he’s a blue, we should be treating him as one and get behind him. Any action to the contrary is a form of self sabotage.

He’ll be getting enough grief from the opposition supporters this season and with a personality like his, I can only see that backfiring on them and it really fuelling his fire. What ever’s happened has happened and the sooner we stop being little bitches about it, the better it will be for the team we all love.

Not sure I agree that it will fire him up. He regularly disappears at the first sign of pressure and I don't see that chsnging because he gets abuse. I'm stil hopeful he will be gone before the window closes.

1st time at the bridge today for about 3 years. Very interesting receptoon for Enzo. Some boos at 1st but settled down pretty quickly, and was largely supported.

He played well, as did Caicedo, James and Lavia in midfield tbh, although we lacked control for 20 minutes of the 1st half.

Does he stay or go? I think its 50/50.

I have to agree with the disappearing in pressure, especially for Chelsea. But with Xabi in charge and what he did with Xhaka, I can really see Fernandez really starting to grow this season. Proof is in the pudding, so fingers crossed!

Looks like City are signing that highly rated young kid from Lille for £85m. I wonder if rules out of signing Enzo.

Also, where exactly does Enzo play in Alonso’s system? He’s not great in a double pivot and he’s not a wide man.

I think Enzo could work in a double pivot in a system with 3 at the back. Would still rater sell him and get a proper deep midfielder, but three at the back adds some extra protection in the middle at the back which would mitigate Fernandez defensive shortcomings.

I found it interesting that the first time Alonso used James, he played him in midfield. I don't think we're going to see a lot of James at right back this season. With the signings of Palestra and Chevarria and Gusto still here, it points to Alonso planning to use James centrally, either as a midfielder or as a RCB in a 3 at the back system.

If Lavia and James are fit, Enzo is 4th choice CM. Sell at all costs

I still think it’s best if he leaves.

I also think Rodri will be sold soon so City will come back in for him.

I have a feeling the “Chelsea deadline” has a lot to do with any potential moves for Alex Scott or Adam Wharton as clubs like Palace and Bournemouth have less pressure to sell nowadays and they equally don’t want to sell so late in the window giving them little time for a replacement.

I think it all gets resolved this week or everybody stays where they are.

Personally I think he leaves before the Fulham match.

Caicedo dropped between Colwill and Lacroix, which then allowed Fofana to push up and support Neto who was right wing back. Couldnt but feel James was tailor made flr tbat tole tbh.

If he isn’t sold I hope we at least loan him. I know that might seem controversial but him being there just upsets the new team morale and dynamic Alonso is trying to build. He’s a snake and if the dressing room was to down tools, he would be the one leading the charge

I wouldn’t call it counterproductive. Fans pay a lot of money to see their club live. If a player who disrespected them and keeps hiding behind his agent is going to come on the pitch then they have every right to boo him.
