When you have poor negotiators they allow other clubs to dictate the terms without a second thought. A big shopper should be able to tell Villa and Palace on what day the deal will complete, not be treated like total juniors.

These clowns have no regard for their own company's finances.

It's done to get around PSR, if it's done within 45 days, it's considered a swap, and the fees cannot be amortised. Nobody can afford not to do this now, it just demonstrates what a total clusterf**k the financial regulations are, which is rapidly destroying the power of the Premier League.

Palace are rumoured to be struggling to get close to UEFAs 70% SCR limit. Some people call these sort of work around as loopholes. They aren’t they are simply working within the rules.

It doesn’t really matter what the restrictions are. The PL will continue to be ever more powerful in the years to come regardless which isn’t a great thing to be honest

Agree here. Credit the EPL for getting a great TV deal and having an easier sell of an English-language league abroad, but it's more fun to me with the other leagues are not so top heavy and have teams that can really compete internationally. It's competitive for the UCL title, but the PL has taken the Europa and Conference league two years running without much stress.

He has a move to West Ham if he wants. Si Phillips reported that the fee and personal terms are already agreed with a low release clause if they don’t come straight back up.

He wanted a week to 10 days to see if a PL team came in for him before committing.

That’s was about a week ago.

Can't agree here. The original FFP rules set in stone the UEFA "order" as envisioned by the then G-14 group of clubs, creating a closed shop of clubs able to compete for the CL. The new SCR rules double down on that exclusivity because they heavily favour high-revenue clubs - in order to comply, a big club can always increase revenue or lower costs or both; a small club can only sell players to reduce costs.

The top 15 clubs in the PL compete financially with any other club in Europe (bar Bayern, PSG, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona) and the new rules cement that pecking order. As @Bob stark points out, Crystal Palace signing Yeremy Pino is akin to Real Sociedad or SC Freiburg being able to outbid Manchester United for Bryan Mbuemo.

We literally can’t get rid of the hideous twins permanently.

I'm telling myself we've allowed Disasi to go there without a buy option as a favour for giving us a good deal on Wharton. Otherwise it's complete sh*te.

At this point I’m just glad they’re gone. Less hassle for XA. A loan fee, wages covered and another year amortised. They will have to sort them next summer cos Napoli won’t be taking the option and Palace don’t even have one.
