Liking the look of Jackson, some neat link up play, strength and skills. Maatsen has his magic boots on with a couple of nice finishes.

 

Not too bad for our first half of our first game in pre season.

Impressed with the amount of tactical implementation for a short period of time. Actually working out of a press well. 

No way should we be selling Maatsen, looks class. Maybe a loan if there's no space in the squad

If Nkunku doesn't bag a hat trick this half, can we over react and call him a bust? 

Honestly if Jackson can reliably play those bounce passes back to oncoming wingers/attackers all season we'll score bags of goals.

 

 

Considering we've a LB on one wing and a very raw teenager on the other, I'm impressed with the chances created that half. (Not downplaying Maatsens contribution, just that it's not his natural position)

Tough to keep up with subs, but looks like sterling, Nkunku, chilly, Gallagher all on. A new right back also and not quite sure who it is (maybe Gilchrest?)

Wait a second, I am sorry if I am behind on stuff but I kind of checked out after we got knocked out of the CL last season.

But it doesn't appear to me that we have a shirt sponsor??

Not yet! Give it time and we’ll have one 

Just an observation, but Gallagher is so busy without enough quality and it disrupts others. Timing of passes always off. 

That's really critical and borderline absurd 10 mins in, but just question his credentials given how much football we saw from him last year also.

Not an option. He has 1yr left on his contract, and won’t renew to be sent out on loan. Either play him or take the £20m from Burnley & watch them sell him for £50m in a year or 2 (see Guehi).
