Took Sanchez getting injured for Poch to realize that Petrovic was a more balanced GK and thus provided more calmness within the backline. Can only hope the same happens with Jorgensen and the Dane proves to be the one all along.

Have to see on that, if he gets the chance. Maybe he is used in trade to sign Diogo (the new Hulk transfer) Costa.

Maresca needs to grow some balls and just admit he was wrong and drop Sanchez in the league.

I think the issue is that Maresca also doesn't rate Jorgensen, for whatever reason. Perhaps he is fixated on this A/B squad thing.

The issue is, he’s not good enough to be a stopgap. Diogo Costa will never happen and if it does it’s to go City.

I’ve said it numerous times but for the value and the quality of player the fact we didn’t get Mamadashville but instead plumped nearly twice as much on Penders/Jorgensen. Bizarre and will haunt us for a Decade.

Not going for Mamardashvili was a colossal error by the board. Not only us missing out on him but letting Liverpool get him and replace Alisson with ease is sickening. They've made two signings for £100m and sorted their GK position for the last 5 years and the next decade. 

We're 7(?) signings and £100m+ spent and we've got progressively worse between the sticks.

Trigger warning - we scouted both Alisson and Mamardashvili long before Liverpool were interested. On both occasions we did f**k all!

Soon we could  10 GKs with Palmer on the field, or 11 GKs if we try hard enough. Brighton didn't miss Sanchez after the sale, pretty sure Liverpool won't mind losing Kellegher to us either. We basically paid big bucks for number 2 GKs clubs trying to offload.

Isn’t Slonina on loan in League 1 because we screwed up his development. As for Penders; we paid £17m for a 19yr old goalie playing reserves football in the Belgian league. His club gave him 2 first team appearances to ensure the transfer goes through, and have dropped him to the bench ever since. I can imagine he will be playing u21 football alongside other expensive signings like Omari Kellyman & Deivid Washington.
