Thought that would be the case too but Potter was sacked before the Real Madrid tie.

They'll only sack him if they've got a plan B. Reading suggestions sacking him could see us breach FFP so that could be another consideration

Not sure about the FFP but I assume its all about image. Sacking another selected manager midseason would be a very bad look.

But we haven't lost yet.

We need to get behind the team and support them. None of this "we are f***ing sh*t" being sung like Sunday.

Come on the Chels

If you look at all my previous post my stance has been the same,I have zero trust in this team and as such my expectations match my trust level.

You've all clearly not read the script, this is the start of the next false dawn. We're going to play relatively well, come away with a narrow win after a tense last 15/20 minutes where we are boxed in.

We then go on to get a confidence boosting 3-1 win against Palace next week and then even grab a 1-1 draw at the Etihad.

Some will then predict we get a result in the final.

We dont, we lose.

But Poch has built enough credit with the big bosses and we are still in the FA cup so theres a route into Europe, giving him to the end of the year.

Nkunku and Sterling goals. 2-1 Chels.

We have a clown in charge that gets outcoached by every manager, every single game. Emery won't be an exception. Villa will go through, but if they put three or four past us with ease and we, again, look like dog sh*te, I say there is no reason to keep this buffoon in charge and save what's left to be saved and throw everything at De Zerbi.

Did read somewhere a theory that his job is safe until the possibility of securing European football next season has gone

I would imagine Poch has got until after the League cup final. Which IF by some miracle we actually win then we can say that we have had a successful season.  I think the problem for Clearlake - other than the fact that are clueless when it comes to understanding Association Football or soccer - is that i doubt they have a replacement in mind.  google search : "available soccer coaches who are good"

Has poch ever won a final?

Yes. Made more fun by the fact that Disasi started for Monaco before being subbed off for Badiashile, who came on at the same time as Fàbregas.

Brighton have mugged us off more than enough already thanks and it's not as though they are tearing up trees this season is it ?

This one is on ITV 1

Date / Time: Wednesday, February 7, 20.00 GMT; 3pm EST; 1:30am IST (next day)
Venue: Villa Park, Birmingham
Referee: Thomas Bramall (on pitch); Peter Bankes (VAR)
Forecast: cold

On TV: ITV 1 (UK); none (USA); none (India); SuperSport Premier League (NGA); elsewhere
Streaming: ITVX (UK); ESPN+ (USA); Sony LIV (India); DStv Now (NGA)

It feels like Poch hasn’t changed anything. If we had a back three line up for tonight then I may be excited but looking at the line up, it feels like more of the same old sh*te with an even worse defence with Silva not playing.

At least Sterling isn’t playing.

Exactly my thoughts, bar the fact that Silva has looked out of sorts lately and probably needs a rest regardless
