Don’t think this is the time to be making an argument for Putin or Russia but that’s just me.

Back to the football, this is shocking but not surprising at all. It’s now crystal clear he doesn’t know how to setup a defence or attack as we speak now.

Also the fact our best defenders are 21 year olds…

Cmon Enzo weve had 6 defeats in the last 11 games. Do something, man !

This is not Real Madrid its Southampton.

if we lose tonight he could be gone

Owners gave him a 5 year deal, no way he doesn't see the season out.

It seems you have been sports washed.

I'm a Chelsea fan first and foremost but don't tell me Abramovich wasn't paying Putin off and that Putins a good bloke.

It seems you have been media washed.

Our current owner Wyss is a huge contributor to the democratic party in the US. Do we want to dig into the numbers of Obama's and Biden's drone strikes and how many civilians they killed? How many countries they bombed?

You can't spout fake outrage about Roman and go on to say we'll be much better off when we're still owned by corrupt people. Or are we okay with civilians dying if its the west doing it?

Someone here described Maresca as Btec Pep... I absolutely love that description of him as its about right.

I have zero issues with Maresca tbh. Nice guy but out of his depth, wrong appointment (again) and I think we allI know he's just the fall guy for the board who I wish a lifetime of Egyptian curses upon...

and cats to take the smelliest sh*t in their gardens...

or they just sell the F-up and F-off back to the states to spend the cartel cash that Florida and American finance is built upon. C**ts...

I'm saying it here now, I wish Maresca well in his next role when he collects his P45.

IF the protest is big and continues inside the stadium tonight, and we lose, imo the owners may try to sack Maresca to appease the supporters, they hate negative publicity

The owners have shown they couldn't give less of a sh*t about the supporters

Well said. There is a reason the club keeps releasing media stories after every loss. He will see out this season at the minimum irrespective of results.

At least we get the chance to vote them out.

You know I'm championing democracy.

I've tried to understand the Russian people. I've visited St Petersberg read Solzenitzen and Dostoyefsky and others. All I can say is that country has been run by many tyrants and no people deserve to be treated that way. It has huge geopolitical problems and desperately needs a revolution.

The people are disenfranchised and have no say at all but still thier leader sends them off to fight thier neighbours.

COYB.

Hmmm..still I think we are the worst side in the Prem playing from the back. Brighton and Bournemouth both in their game did it better on a regular basis.

Enzo didn't mind Sanchez or Filip going with long ball as they have done it lately on every possible occasion. Most notably when they are not even in that much pressure.

Playing from the back is not only the keeper but every player. You need to move to give the keeper good avenues to pass the ball to.

Why did fans boo Filip there? What is the point? Help him settle down? Or was it the Soton fans?

Wasn’t booing Filip so much, it was the playing out from the back and slow approach they were booing.

It was very odd to hear them boo during the game but it’s how we’re all feeling.

It’s dull, boring football that is exposed.

You're championing one warlord over another because of what the media has told you is good or bad.

Back to the original point though, Roman had no credible link to Putin in recent times and certainly not the invasion of Ukraine, therefore this anti-Roman revisionism comes across as nothing more than virtue signaling. The man was scapegoated by the corrupt UK Government and we'd be lucky to be able to welcome him back to the club one day.

I was in the MHL and we weren't necessarily moaning (it was more moaning than booing) directly to Jorgensen but to the constant passes between him and defenders without any ability to advance. Fans are bored to death in the stands, and have been for a while now.

It was torture watching us "playing out from the back" last night. Other teams move around quickly and look for gaps in the press and to flick the ball around corners to break the first line. Our attempt at this was Caicedo or Colwill sitting on the edge of the box doing 1-2s with Jorgensen for 5 minutes. What the f**k happened to the quick passing and breaking the lines at the start of the season?

Jorgensen's nerves were palpable every time he had the ball at his feet. Not helped by limited options courtesy of his teammates, defenders and midfielders. Just a silly, wasteful, potentially disastrous system.

Playing out from the back only really works if the opponents press you. When an opponent lets us have it we don't seem to have a plan B and we just recycle the ball lazily between out CB's and GK until Palmer comes and picks the ball up which drags our best player out of the attack.

Boring and lazy, i want to see counter attacking football again.

When are you out of your luxury leather recliner and back to, um, work again?
