Stats based football is one of the downfalls of the premier league as a specticle. Players are terrified to take risks, lose possession because of the stats. 2 centre half’s with 1000 passes and 100% completion knocking it 10 yards square, modern managers and their tactics and VAR have turned the premier league from a fast paced end to end game into a snooze fest half the time.

I think I’m getting old.

Amidst everything, even with Sanchez gifting goals, we are tied with two other clubs (Everton & Bournemouth) for having the 4th best defence in the league.

I am going to be so disinterested next season if he's still the manager, he bores me to f**king sleep. I'm hardly coming on here much Chelsea are that boring.

We had the joint 3rd best defence in the league under Sarri too

I’m all for keeping the ball, I’d just like to be 2-0 up before we start ‘controlling the game’.

As for the stats is Sanchez really in the worlds top 10, seriously……goalkeepers with arms. Wow!

Under Sarri I always thought we were good defensively. Think there was only 2-3 matches where we conceded 4+ goals which affected our GA metric, but other than that we rarely conceded more than 1 goal a match.

Under Maresca, I feel like we’ve been diabolical defensively with bozo Sanchez too, so hearing we have the 3rd best defence surprised me.

Really hoping the good feeling from Fulham carries to next games. Beating deep sitting Everton will be tough but not impossible. Enzo and the players need to find solutions to score at least one. We have enough talent to beat them.

Even though I honestly feel we are not ready for a Champions league season I hope the team reaches its target.

If Nottingham reaches it, it will totally ruin their next season. I am sure Murillo, Elanga and others will be poached and they have to find new key players. They might face the relegation battle whilst playing in the CL.

Good feeling? Am i missing something? It was another bore fest that we managed to snatch the 3 points at the very last second. If we're proud of that performance then the standards of this club are in the dirt.

Don't you guys ever watch anything that they are saying or merely watching the matches? I love the build up and some of the aftermath that comes with the games. Part of the hobby I would say. I have very little chances to get to actual games so I love that a ton of content is available to watch and listen. I also listen to 3 different Chelsea podcasts.

I used to watch the pressers but over the course of the season he has said things that have turned out to be lies or contradictions so I no longer listen to what he says. You can't trust a word he says.

This target didn't just magically appear, it was always the target from the get go. It's a bit naive to think otherwise.

I don't feel that way at all. He has a position where he either talks with the clubs mouth, to his players or his own words. If he wants to protect his players he says one way, if he wants to just vent out his own view he says it another way. It is not very easy being a coach to face the media.

I have watched hours of our coaches pressers and I don't think he is any different.

Its part of his job. He is absolutely awful in front of a mic. If he's that bad just pretend you don't speak English and hire someone else to run the pressers like Poch used to at Southampton.

He is not a vibrant person to say the least however he is to me at least honest enough. I understand if you don't care for him everything he says hurts your ears but I don't think he has done that bad in that role. He is not very experienced in that either.

Honestly would insinuate he gives his own opinion and not just regurgitates what he's told to say bu the owners. There's a complete lack of honesty with what comes out his mouth. From the GK playing long to Chalobah not being compatible with how he wants to play. Then the lack of aspirations on top of that, never seen such a big confidence killer in all my time except maybe AVB.
