Sitting near Boyne at home games I don’t see the resemblance!!!

Ah but have you seen him play?

I'm not a pretty sight and my footballing skills leave a lot to be desired. Perhaps the lack of skill could get me in the team!

The rate these owners are going they might start pulling people out the crowd!

Perhaps we should take our boots to the first game. Nice easy match against City.  I'll have to start doing some runs around the local park to get fit.

See you at the Bridge in a few weeks.

Would be frees so pure profit to sell on, low wages.

If it happens we have proof they read the forum!

If they gave me a couple of bottles of single malt whisky after each match that would do me.

Having put a lot of thought in to it I will go for this 11:

@Valerie

@dkw

@Zeta

@Scott Harris

@just

@Boyne

@Mod

@Bluesince66

@CaitlinCFC

@mojo

@Simplymo

Terrible. I'm not a CB, too slow, too short, can't play the highline. Better as CM Fabregas style.

You're getting sacked in the morning!

@loz was my pick to be manager...

But given your namesake Ron I thought you might be good at chopping down a few for us...

For me back 5

Nkunku - Jackson - Palmer

Enzo - Caicedo

Chilwell - Colwill - CB - Fofana - James

You forgot to post which of the 98482585 goalkeepers we have on the books you want in goal?

We may share the same last name, but with my pace, I wouldn't even get close to chopping players down. My pace is so slow that when I was in school, I would only just finish ahead of the kid that couldn't go down steps without putting both feet on each step first. I did make myself a little bit faster as I got older though, I improved my sprint speed by chasing cars 😆

For Me, right now:

cucurella

Colwill

Tosin

James

Lavia

Caicedo

Palmer

Nkunku

Jackdon

Madueke

It should be said that if inverting to midfield..Gusto looks GREAT playing the left side. Cucu will have to be strong to keep that option from creeping into Enzo’s head.

I will definitely stand out...I can't wear all those silly colours on my feet. Mine are black and about 10yrs old.

Aren't black boots making a comeback? If not, you'll be the one starting it. Also, it says a lot about your self confidence: I don't need flashy boots to stand out!

Me, I'm going to be a solid 5'7'' goalkeeper, I'm great with my feet and terrific at shouting instructions. Actual shot saving could be my weakness, but I'm working on it with Carlo.

Oooo.....ebay here I come :Tickertape:

Don't tell anyone but the colours distract me, I spend the whole time looking down and thinking where's my feet!

I bet you're great at shouting instructions, lol

...and you'll get plenty of practice with the little one. "Ketchup is not for painting" was one I used to shout a lot!

It's a difficult question.

Should palmer play in the double 8's? Possibly. Alongside Nkunku? That might be overkill.

I am also unsure about whether Enzo will merit a starting place in this formation. He lacks a bit of speed and mobility.

Currently, I would go with something like this (attacking formation):

Sanchez

Reece

Tosin

Colwill

Caicedo/Lavia

Cucurella/Gusto

Palmer

Enzo/KDH/Caicedo

Madueke

Jackson

Nkunku

Same, it’s a good question but difficult, seeing as it’s hard to know how some of these new ones/back from injuries will be!

Palmer, Reece and Nkunku should be nailed on starters!

I also couldn’t really pick an 11 as I would be including Conor, Big Trev and Petrovic!

Guiu looks good but then Ross Barkley used to look like prime Messi during the American tours! So will have to wait and see!

This...

I think guiu was too good to be left on the bench. He just needs game time and to get used to the other players. Yesterday he ran straight into Noni and stopped a good chance at goal as Noni was about to take the shot. Him with Jackson (left), nkunku (middle), and Palmer (right) behind him would be a nice front 4.

Yeah, I was none the wiser for my first 11 yesterday, but I think I'm getting there now just thinking about yesterday's play.

Front 4 sorted with noni and sterling as subs. Mudryk still hasn't done enough for me to be that important in the squad yet.

Back 4...is a bit more difficult. But we saw again how Gusto was much better inverted than reece. He has the speed and at times was joining the attack and not sitting back, because he can recover quickly enough.

Also I think there was some interchanging between who pushed up. At times during the dominant possession, during the first half only the 2 cb's and gk were at the back. We'd get slaughtered playing like that most of the time in the prem but if they can identify when to interchange during games and who goes into midfield and at times even when both should push up then it will be a very dynamic team.

The middle....no clue apart from Lavia needs a big mention. Enzo looked slow which is understandable for his first game.
