Oh yes it is. 3rd goal is killing. No chance Real beat them by 3 goals. Their defence is too good

City was a hundred times better in 2022 than Arsenal currently is and were comfortably two goals up on aggregate against Madrid in the 90th minute with only 6 minutes of added time to go. And then Rodrygo happened.

Never underestimate that club in the UCL, especially at the Bernabeu and not necessarily from a footballing point of view. There is the dark arts, the refs, the politics.

If they score early on they are guaranteed a penalty before the 50th or 60th minute mark to help them get back in the tie.

Club is funny; we were told Chukwuemeka couldn’t play deeper but somehow he is playing in a mid 2 for Dortmund v Barca in a CL quarters.

Disasi just came on at HT for Villa as well.

So that's two players who were surplus to Maresca's requirements who are now turning out in the QF of the Champions League this evening ... 😀

Will see next week. Mbappe seems to have unbalanced Real as badly as he did PSG.

Kvaratskhelia embarrassed Disasi with his goal though. He's playing way above his actual level.

Judging by the score it's probably vindicated

If anybody wants to see a proper example of building a side with young, high quality footballers..........then take a look at PSG and Barcelona. Our young players are nowhere near the levels of these players. So anybody thinking our lot are suddenly going to be amongst this lot in 3 years time, dream on. They're not going to stop and wait for us, they going to get better and better.

Every box is ticked at PSG. The best sporting director in world football, top coach, stylistically a joy to watch, young players with genuine talent. Kvaratskhelia (cost the same as Pedro Neto btw) was actually just the ‘bonus’ icing on the cake, unreal talent. Had that goal on replay.. can’t stop watching it.

Their wingers are also just so much better than ours individually. Has little to do with Maresca’s football. Technically they are just so much better.

Overall their team if significantly better than ours, man for man. As we are now, and have been since mid December, only Caicedo and perhaps Enzo get in their side, imo.

Enzo ahead of who? Neves is a much better player. Mind you they are both from Benfica; and we could have picked him up for free when we splashed £105m for the former, or for less than half the price a year later.

Fair point. They are just better than we are and only Caicedo gets in that side for sure.
