I've been glazing Arsenal all season and people have been oblivious to how good they actually are.

As I've said in previous posts, they will 100% win the prem in the next 3 years. They've built a really good side in a weak football era. When I watch their games, even when they don't win they are a threat and create chances, really the opposite to us.

I can't see how they don't win the Clge if they knock Madrid out. They will fancy their chances against anyone.

I still think Barcelona or PSG can beat them, even Inter.

If they can get a striker, I think they will be favourites for the title next season. Even without one, they could still be favourites if Salah and Van Dijk leave Liverpool. Really depends if City can bounce back or not.

Yeah they can still lose to either (providing psg and barca make it through) however I don't rate Inter at all.

Absolutely sucks how we have fumbled this era of football so bad, given the money spent.

Yep, I have got them bang on to win title next season if they add a top striker. Seems inevitable they end up with Gyokeres. He is available at a cheaper rate than last season. He will have his suitors, but I think his preference will be to move to Arsenal. They will most likely match his wage demands, he will fit in like a glove and he is joining a top team who are quite young and getting better and better. Even without a natural CF, the quality in other areas is evident, however when they get that out and out CF, they literally are complete in all areas of the team and have quite solid depth too.

This tie is not over yet. Madrid at the Bernabeu in the UCL is a different sport really. If they go one nil up in the first 20 minutes, it's game on. Arsenal are a joke in Europe and will crumble under pressure if Madrid have a good night.

Madrid need more than a good night. It's needs to be absolutely spectacular.

No, don't see Madrid coming back from 3-0. Maybe in the past, but this side look like they lack something. Good players, but for me Mbappe, Junior and Bellingham are all a bit over-rated and think they are better than they actually are. They would probably only make the bench of the great Madrid teams of the past.

Can only hope that PSG, Barca or Inter stop the Gooners lifting this years trophy.

Come backs from a 3-goal deficit after the first leg of the Champions League knock outs are pretty rare. Can't recall Real Madrid ever having done it, certainly not since the European Cup was renamed as the Champions League (1992) anyway.

Can remember PSG capitulating to Barcelona a few seasons back, going down 6-1 away after winning 4-0 at home. Some of that please Carlo !

Madrid always seem to get that little bit extra help in situations like this though...

Don't particularity care if Arsenal win it to be honest. Probably helps us in the end get a CL spot as doubt we finish top 4.

Already guaranteed after last night England get a 5th spot.

So Arsenal can respectfully lose.

It will happen eventually, but they'll never be the first.

True that will always be so, and if the worst happens this season with the gunners actually getting it, then we will still be the only team in London to win 2 European Cups - so only a slight change to the chant if necessary (hopefully not) 😉

johnny going into meltdown..funny

What is the point of a meltdown like that? It's just nonsensical. Probably for views, but calling Rice a Cobham boy is silly. Chelsea under Roman had the chance to sign him, but we didn't. We now have Caicedo. I am not even salty about Arsenal winning. Real Madrid under Carlo have been quite mediocre for a while now, especially this season. I think Atletico would have given Arsenal a far harder game tbh. This current group of Real players aren't fit to the lace the players from even 5/6 seasons ago. Mbappe isn't Benzema. Modric is a shadow these days. Bellingham is hit or miss, likewise with Vini Jr. Real Madrid need a change in coach and attitude to get back to a well functioning side again. This season they are dropping points in La liga when they shouldn't, and their CL campaign has been up and down this season. I don't even know if Arsenal would lose to Inter. Inter are good, but they already drew with them away at Inter earlier in the season. Not to mention Arsenal already beat PSG at home earlier in the season as well. PSG are good, but Liverpool went there, got outplayed and still came away with a win, despite being utter sh*te. The CL is a flip of a coin this season.

Arsenal are serial bottlers since 2004, they’ll no doubt f**k it up on the 2nd leg or in the Semi!

My only thought was that it’s a good job Liverpool have the title in the bag and this didn’t happen earlier in the season, because now Rice is going to score every free kick and they’ll get a new lease of life in the prem thinking they are untouchable!

One thing from last night. I know Madrid ended up getting gubbed and for me, that aren't the team they once were, but, as the teams were lining up and for Madrid you saw Courtois in goal and Rudiger in defence and them being managed by Carlo. All ex CFC. Now we have Sanchez, the likes of Badiashille (thankfully he hasn't played for a while) and managed by f**k-wit. How far we have fallen.

Have to hope PSG put all their eggs in the CL basket. We know Arsenal have.

Inter look very strong too.

PSG would slap them along with Inter, Barcelona too.

Real is still Real and if they score early then it’s game on but they need to score in the first 15 if they don’t then game is Arsenals.

I have seen a 30 second compilation of the two free kicks.

First one is down to Tibo not insisting he has an extra player in the wall. With a team having both Saka and odegaard you need 5 to cover both outcomes. I know Arsenal are elite at scoring set pieces but the gap left for Rice to hit it at is huge, he still needed to see it and execute it well, which he does, very well. It was preventable though. Rice himself said he would have crossed it of a 5th man was in the wall.

Second one was a combination of a once in a hundred luck hit with raw power. It was a fluke. A beautiful fluke but still a fluke. had it been Saka or Odegaard fair enough, I would not be surprised, but Rice? For me he does not have that as a regular weapon in his locker, just was good timing for number 100

I like being the only club in London to have won the Champions League, and I want it to stay that way. Arsenal winning it would change their status as a club like it did for us.

I don't know. The curl on that first freekick made it unsavable. Put another player in the wall and I still feel the outcome is the same. The second was amazing too, right into the top corner. I don't think it's a fluke, he must do it in training if they trust him to take 2 freekicks in such a big game.

The execution and spotting the flaw in Reals wall made the first one better for me. Placement and intelligence on it, but Rice said himself had they had a 5 man wall he will cross it not shoot, therefore no save to make.

Second one is an Alex free kick. We love them, they were great but they are hit it as hard as you can and hope for the best. Making it a fluke imo.
