Sorry, I won’t be deceived by a free header at the back stick. A game lasts for 90 minutes, not 10 seconds.

Don't get me wrong, I like Garnachco but I don't get how you can be singing Garnacho's praises but criticise Neto. You don't like Neto I get it but give credit where is due. He worked hard yesterday so not sure where zero defensive contributions came from. If Garnacho had scored, and lost possession, I am sure you would be pointing out that he scored. Not sure why you hate Neto so much.

Important goal, but Estevao is already a much better player.

While I agree Estevao is probably a better player (already), Neto is a very important member of the squad. He is improving his goal output, and his work rate is second to none. I actually like him at left wing also, particularly when he quickly goes for the byline and crosses.

If we want to compete at the top level we need players like Neto in the squad. Hope the goals continue for him.

Exactly. Too many people are fooled by a single goal rather than analysing a full 90. These people should stick to YouTube highlight videos.

I’m yet to see Garnacho fail to get stuck in or moan at team mates for not passing him the ball. I’ll only judge players based on their appearances in blue.

It deserved to win a match just a shame the match result did not go our away.

Was it bo**ocks a tap in, it was a superb first touch and a very good finish in a tight space with very little goal to aim at.

99% of professional footballers are tapping that in first time with their right foot, he's completely unmarked and the ball has no pace on it.

I suggest rewatching it.

He's turned it around this season. In absolute agreement with you and DWK, Was a sublime finish from a player who is cooking on gas this season. Adding the goals and assists to his workrate. Long may it continue and we see more of his sh*thousery . Left or right wing, happy to see him start for us. Starting to see reasons why we paid 50 million for him.

TBH, methinks it should be him and Garnacho starting at the minute, they look the most lively and dangerous.

There's no way he can hit that first time as he's not even sure if it will fall to him, the defender should have got a head onto it but misses it for reasons I'm not entirely sure of which is why he needs to take that extra touch to get it under control.

I'm not a huge Neto fan but it was a good goal, mainly the control to set himself up.

I can see both points of view being correct here.

It looks to my eye that Neto can't take it first time as he had checked his run and killed his forward momentum so had to wait for the ball to bounce, and take the extra touch. He did very well to score as the open goal that was available for the first time shot had closed to almost nothing, leaving him a very small gap to squeeze the shot into.

It's the sort of goal that Sterling has scored by the boat load in his career, usually with one touch though due to timing the run to the back post well. Arriving at the right place for a simple goal is a skill in itself.

Great cross from Gittens. I like how he plays head up to pick out a player in a good position for his crosses.

We’ve fallen so far as a club that we’re all being catfished into calling a simple tap in ‘outstanding’ f**k me.

I don't like him as a person but i'll happily congratulate them when they do something good. I congratulated Maresca for getting it right two games prior. I congratulate Cucurella for the outstanding season he's having.

Are we really quibbling over a really well-taken goal? does it matter how they go into the net? Crickey, if Neto or any player falls on their face tripping over their shoelaces and the ball bounces off the back of their necks and in - its a goal, It just doesnt matter how it goes in right, Neto was in the right place and time to put it away... He gave us all a little hope that the result wouldnt be that bad and we might rescue something from it.

Did you actually celebrate the goal or just how many chances we created, we know you love to @GarnachoCheese ;-) BTW Happy birthday ya miserable git.

Its the result that matters and we lost 3 against a newly promoted side. League season is over if we dont get a result tomorrow. Again before Xmas and a terrible run of form.

I celebrated Gittens run and delivery more than the finish. Birthday isn't until tomorrow, still a day of youth to enjoy yet!
