Surely Lavia can't be injured AGAIN ????

And how Mudryk starts after that abysmal performance mid week beggars belief. The blind favouritism being shown to him must be going down a treat in the rest of the squad ...

I really hope Lavia’s absence is just load management after the injury.

This I suspect is load management. He played all through preseason and first match

the only reason Mudryk and Enzo are playing is because of pressure from above

He’s not wrong I’ve been there a few times and it is a sh*t hole. My point being this social media crap causes so much trouble especially with the younger lot, but that’s not the point now. If you’re posting about anything think first. If you’re going somewhere think first, don’t say it’s sh*t or expect the consequences.

I think people lose too much sleep over it. The guy is obviously pumped, up for it and if given the chance hope he delivers. TBH, I'd rather see some life and character in our players rather than do nothing. I like Noni's ability to wind it up, us fans and opposition with some luck. just got to deliver like Robben used to do for us.

Been named on the team sheet so he has his opportunity to deliver on his words.

Maresca has a hard on for Mudryk.

Hoping for a good performance from the lad.

He was sh*t midweek and Maresca slated him a fair bit after the game, maybe he's playing him to see if he can get a reaction. I wouldn't have played him after midweek personally but we'll see how it goes.

Two pluses I guess

1. The look of the line up suggests Palmer will play centrally

2. There are a lot of potential game changers on the bench for when Enzo realises he's picked the wrong XI 🙂

Don't want to jinx it but it could be palmer left and mudryk central. 🤦‍♂️

Lol, only jk.

The only reason I can see for picking Mudryk is he must look good in training. Because game days he is rubbish…. Perhaps he’s thinking one day it will all come good and he’ll put in a MOTM performance

Struggle to get excited for this starting lineup,  No idea why Nkunku is not playing, and I was hoping to see Neto's first start (too soon for Felix).  On paper, an odd selection to me, but then nothing is every expected with Chelsea.

Concern with Lavia.  I hope that he can regain stability and fitness, otherwise we will be really light in midfield with Conor sold and Ugo loaned.

Calm down people . Mudryk is only starting because Neto and Felix are being protected. Mudryk knows he has to perform today and i believe he will

I hope you are right, but I haven't seen anything in the last 18 months to suggest he can turn it on at will, or indeed has anything to even turn on !
