Jackson is just pony isn't he

Anybody watching can see it, but scores a goal now and again and some forget just how poor his overall game has been in the 90 minutes. When he doesn't score, like he hasn't been much of late, he has nothing to hide behind.

Feel like we’ve played very well bar Jackson & Neto. Need that 2nd goal.

There is a big sense of composure I’ve noticed, especially our back line. They are all playing their normal roles. The confidence of Acheampong at 18 years old is ridiculous. Such good control even under pressure.

So Big Enz should sub Neto for any of Nkunku, Madueke or Felix, and Jackson for Guiu, at half time. But he won't, they are allowed to play cr@p and stay on for most of the game.

Makes me think of a young JT.

Only change I’d make is Madueke/Neto but only after 15min.

Acheampong is making a huge difference to backline, they look so much more calm and composed. Imagine if Disasi or Badiashille was playing instead 🤣

I thought Sancho had a really good half, kept possession under really tight pressure and did his job supporting Cucurella. Neto could have done more really but I wouldn’t take him off yet.

It’s a shame we don’t have a decent back up to Jackson, don’t you dare say Nkunku after his pathetic performance vs Ipswich.

A pretty good 45 minutes but we should be winning by at least 2 goals.

I think that was positive. We're winning and are comfortably the better team. If the second half starts to look a bit Fulham-y just remember to use the bench.

Really encouraging to see that our famously inflexible manager a) noticed that we have spent the last 18 months sh*tting the bed every time we play against a back three and b) made effective changes to fix it. I have very much enjoyed watching Gusto play naturally and not being forced to run inside, look confused, then pass the ball to Colwill or Sánchez.

Acheampong has looked alright and not at all out of place. Caicedo has looked imperious. Sancho has looked incredible in moments and combative otherwise. And we might get to see Reece James. Pour yourselves a whisky and enjoy.

Jacko's finishing has been poor the past few games. I agree with others we should try Guiu. Nkunku will likely be a passenger if he gets minutes.

Nkunku just doesn't seem bothered anymore, pitiful attitude. I think Guiu would actually go out and try and impress which is far more valuable than anything Nkunku and Jackson could do for us at the minute in games like this.

Guiu would actually hound Palace’s back line.

Id only make that change if it’s clear Jackson is tired.

Back looks much better with Acheampong... good passer too.

Could be 3-4 up... haven't taken our chances again - should be all over.

Let's hope we don't let them in after break...

If Jackson misses another 2 we should bring on Guiu see how he does.

Agreed, shame Nkunku didn't take his chance last game to displace him, but I'd still rather him in this game or even give Guiu a chance

Unable to take chances, lose shape allow opposition back into contest at end of half. Don’t think singling out Jacko for only 1 bagged is all that fair, the ruthlessness in front of goal of last year has slowly been eroded over Chrimbo fixtures and we’re back to the Mauricio style of missing more than scoring.

Disagree, we should make it now. Jackson is clearly off form and down on confidence.
