Unless the owners are willing to change their strategy and actually allow a manager that will question their decisions, and maybe even listen to them once in a while there is little point to changing the manager.

He says he's not expected to deliver a CL spot until the end of next season

The knobhead has been bluffing his way through the entire season. He changes like the wind. Next season, if he is still here, he will be saying something else entirely.

We are getting worse with each & every game. Clueless, no idea. We can't mix things up. It's so predictable.

Would love to see a second half comeback but the players already look resigned to another defeat.

He’s got a 5 year contract he’s not going anywhere anytime soon

Which is amazing as we sacked an experienced manager in Tuchel, and had Pochettino walk a tightrope all season, yet give bums like Potter and Maresca the financial freedom.

The owners are tapped in the head.

I think Maresca is an absolute bum of a manager, but I know he's far from the problem.

I don't think any manager has what it takes to turn this team around, too many brittle kids with egos, they would turn on any manager that would make there a job a bit harder. We did this to ourselves with the obsession of hiring kids.

Still though, it's clear Maresca isn't good enough to turn this around, I was willing to give him some more time but if this game tells me anything, it tells me we are not turning this around any time soon. As a point of principle, he needs to f**k off.

I agree.

It's absolutely mind-boggling that we desperately need a complete overhaul of the team after having just spent a few billion.

The incompetence across the board is astonishing.

I don't even think the idiot gets Conference League. This mob wouldn't beat Fiorentina on this viewing. It'll be down to luck of the draw.

If we don’t win that we are officially cooked. 100% cooked.

It all makes sense when you think who the people are making the decisions. They have a hard on for a particular model of how a club should be run and will die on that hill even if it means we are stuck in mid table.

Doubt we even have 2 shots on target 2nd half.

I can't believe how poor shape we are in as a club.

We couldve bought 18 x £70m players with the total money we have spent, yet we have a squad that can't defend, attackers that don't score, midfielders that don't dominate, a manager that has never won.

It's unbelievable really how poor this takeover has gone, I think we will get relegated under this ownership before we win another title.

On current form I'd give us zero chance of winning it.

0 shots on target

It does not really matter in that moment, it's minute 27, we are in complete control, Brighton barely strings three passes together and then Chalobah decides to f**k up a simple challenge by defending like a Sunday League player... A few minutes later he clears the ball like a total amateur and we concede once again. We might have had no shot on goal at that point, but a match is made of 90 min and as long as you are in control and do not concede, you keep a chance to win. It is silly to give away two goals like that...
