It’s gotten so bad these past 3 years I can’t even envision any scenario where we beat Arsenal, Liverpool, or City in a competitive match.

We don't beat teams like Pool, Arsenal or City, even with the real Cole Palmer, who we have not seen since before Christmas.

We don't need to play James on Thursday, this game is more important, surely he has to be playing here.

Yup. Should have dropped Palmer for James, moved Caicedo in to a midfield 3.

Instead we play with a midfield disadvantage like we have 10 men.

I get shoehorning Lavia, Caicedo and Enzo in midfield but you lose so much by leaving Reece out, especially as an old fashioned ring back.

These are the moments the players need to step up. If we can’t take points, albeit difficult matches, then we aren’t ready.
