Really? because I don't think much changes. They're still sh*t, but now we can say specifically what they are sh*t at. Winstanley is the reason why we end up with players on long and high contracts when they aren't anywhere near good enough. Stewart is the reason why we over spend on them. Shields......my god, must be the worst scout ever. Jewell, same as Shields. Fallows, ah yes, the data guy, what a fine job that data has done for us. Background checks too, shame he didn't spot how unlikeable a lot of our players are before we signed them.

Two directors for "medical" (two guys bossing the physios around, buying sponges and deciding who is fit?), do they even have any relevant medical training? A director for style of play, seriously, in combination with budget planning and medical? That mix makes total sense 🙄, why focus on just one thing. And what the f**k is "planning the first team squad" and "squad identification" on top of scouting done by three directors? My goodness, this is inventing jobs for the boys on an elite level.

As i understand it from posters on this forum Matt Law is a Blue Co. supporter /sympathiser so his comments will be as gentle / kind in their favour which makes the Job activities ( I was gonna say Key Objectives but...) even more grotesque. He will likely be trying to big them up something rotten.

I wonder who is responsible and accountable for taking the identified target ( by Shields ) and actually approving them prior to delivering them ( by Winstanley )

This is surely where at least one axe must fall.

If everything Shields finds gets fast tracked through to completion by Winstanley without any checks and balances, then crikey if that were to happen we would end up with 7 wingers and 6 central defenders who are surplus ....

Who are we to question this superior first team squad planning...?

This does give good clarity. Rather then my scattergun approach of despising these oafs Stewart immediately jumps to top of the Useless C**t list, as he appears to be the root of the things that pisses me off the most. The slow pointless play andthe medically driven team selections

That brief smacks of Shields and Jewell being positioned as the initial scapegoats for our likely lower half PL position and missing out on the Champions League ... W&S both exonerated from identifying transfer targets ...

Good point. Garnacho’s signing was always narrated as a push from Winstanley.

While I know many on here have asked for all the directors, bar Dave Fallows, to be sacked, am left scratching my head as to what they actually offer for BlueCo not only to keep them employeed, but also give them huge raises. Does anyone know what they actually do?

Because the Morgan Rogers deal once more points out they are not trusted to deliver the big deals.

I mean was it not widely reported that Winstanley and Stewart tried, and failed, to deliver Enzo so Eghbali personally stepped in at the 11th hour to make that happen?

Did not the exact same thing happen with Caicedo and Liverpool almost gazumping us?

Now it is reported Eghbali, with Alonsos help, stepped in and, in the space of just 24 hours, turned Rogers from Arsenal, who were in the middle of both discussing a 100mill deal with villa and personal terms/role with Rogers, and in that short spell Eghbali got the deal done with Villa and Alonso/Palmer got Rogers to say yes to us.

So it sounds like our 2 main directors were not involved at all, completely sidelined, not trusted to get the job done.

So what do they offer then if they are not even trusted for the important things? Why do they still have jobs? Have we taken away transfers from their job discriptions?

On the other director, Joe Shields, seems like he is the most trusted doesn't it? All these ex city players and his connect mates in jobs by hanging his hat on the success of Cole Palmer. Has he done anything, other than Palmer, but decimate our coaching staff with none football people and provide failed signings like Delap and Lavia?

On "thin ice" so says Younes and now we hear they are not trusted to negotiate the Lacroix deal with Eghbali dealing with Steve Parish himself.

Apparently they may be moved on to new roles controlling the womens team and Strasbourg.

There is a persistent problem with BlueCo that they do not hire the right people below them.

The same applies to the commercial side of things. We have over a dozen "sponsorship" personnel and yet all the sponsors we have ever had under BlueCo are direct personal investments of the owners. What exactly do these people do all day?

There was a supposed puff piece put out a few months ago 'clarifying' the roles of each sporting director. It was clear they had their wings clipped because the article was at pains to say they had 'strategic' roles. However, closing out targets has never actually been our problem, it's more that we identify and pursue really bad ones.

Eghbali embarasses himself and the club by loudly trumpeting his involvement across the media, but hopefully this is the sign of a broom to come through the sporting direction department. Their appointment was a political play to sever influence from the previous administration and Boehly too. Remove them all, appoint one person.

Two areas that they have already had significant involvement in, hence the sizeable number of constantly protesting Strasbourg fans and the fact that virtually all of the players, manager and support staff that made up the DNA of the most successful team in women's football history cannot flee the club quick enough.

This is a cancer that has to be excised fully, not left festering in some corner of the organisation.
