These are the apparent unavailable players, and at the risk of getting slaughtered on here again- the weather forecast for Saturday at 9pm is hot but the thunderstorms have stopped until next Tuesday so hopefully we get an uninterrupted match. This game I suspect may be the most challenging of the tourney, of course now we see a path to the final it would be a bummer if we get KO, but that would help paradoxically with prep for next season so a win win ? 6pm KO again for me here in Sunny LA

Hats off to Trevoh...by the club I suggest means directors, Enzo and his coaching staff. I hope they all work together and converse these things together.

On Sanchez case he is in a bit of a hole. Sanchez is a massive liability as we all know which Enzo knows as well but his only other choice is young Jorgensen. I am 100% sure Enzo is not completely satisified with Sanchez but why on earth would he say that to the media or the fans. His job is to make improve players he has not make them worse. Even now Enzo has said in the media he is very satisfied with the keepers he has but we are still looking at keepers as the reports have shown. Again he doesn't need to communicate possible tensions inside the club to outside.

On Petrovic. At the time the decision was made to send out Petrovic he was probably not on a good level to play from the back so that is why they opted on Sanchez. Mate you need to learn to read the text. If my english is unclear I apologise, not my native language. It is the 1-2% they have earned or taken re Jose and Pep. Otherwise they eat the food the club gives them. I am 100% sure Jose and Pep never and not one coach has ever spoken the ultimate truth in pressers..maybe Conte (Spurs) a couple of times, maybe Jose (MU) but that was when they knew they were probably facing the sack. Football coach is not an authoritan leader nor speak their mind 100% in a presser because why the hell would you. Team and its managers is a very complex system and involves around 100 people. I still say Enzo's been very consistent with the story he's told. I have absolutely no problems with them nor do I find him to be a liar or bullsh*t artist nor a politician. Not in the slightest. Again lapdog is your assesment and you can keep it no problem but again mate, loose a bit of the black and white. There are other colors in the spectrum especially when there are people involved.

If you look at Hermansen at Leicester you see he is similar with the ball in his feet. Petrovic loves to be around the goal itself rather than get involved in the play. Enzo loves a keeper that can get involved in the buildup. Neither to me are probably good enough for the job but I personally rate Petrovic higher overall from the two. Hopefully we find a good solution for this season.

You might not have followed football back when Pep and Jose were starting out so maybe you don't remember. Head coach wasn't even a role back then, the manager had the ultimate say on everything short of the owner. You may have no issue with the web of lies Maresca spins, but 95% of the forum can see it, do you not think you should perhaps open your eyes slightly? The irony of you saying not everything is black and white, then going on to put sprinkles on every turd. We're two sides of the same coin here, whatever you think of me you have to look inwards and realise you're the exact same.

Yesm Maresca is very inexperienced. Whoever decided to put him in charge of a 1.5B super team has questions to answer. I remember last summer Maresca saying he had spent his entire summer watching every one of our games from the previous couple of years. If after that he still listens to advice and makes the wrong decision then thats on him. Every single fan could see Chalobah was forced out for potential pure profit, but Maresca came out and said he couldn't play his style. Weird.

Sanchez actually went long more often than Petrovic did under Poch so its weird Maresca's choice to play out was Sanchez. Especially when Petrovic completed more short passes with better passing accuracy per 90 than Sanchez. Once again, more waffle.

Would this rocky start not also ruin essugo? Or Sarr? Surely this barren run for Delap must been breaking him? Like i said, excuses that contradict what we see.

As if calling out the club in interviews, especially over a GK will cause anything except instability. These conversations are held internally.

Personally, I angree with Ukraine Bolt. I am not anti Maresca but it’s soooooo obvious that he is a “Yes” man. They got rid of Poch because he was not a “Yes” man. Poch wanted to keep Chalobah and Petrovic (and Gallagher) and the team was on the up. Clearlake wants rid. Poch is out because he is standing up for his beliefs enter Maresca “I do whatever you want Clearlake”. This is probably due to Maresca not having a top CV and thinking how lucky he is at getting the Chelsea job.

We can see that someone like Chalobah fits Maresca’s system. Good on the ball, can play as a wide centre back in a back 3 when the full back is inverting etc but he was shipped out because “he can’t play the system”. No, he was shipped out hoping for eventual pure profit. The “can’t play the system” is Maresca trying to save face and not looking weak to the media and us etc.

Maresca has been told who the club wants to get rid of, nothing to do with “the system”, it’s the money.

With these owners, we probably need a “Yes” man and Maresca appears to be fine with it so good. But the fans who think Maresca has a big say on who to keep are kidding themselves. I am sure, if he really had the choice he would want to keep Petrovic, Chalobah, Chilwell (particularly as we have no back up left back) but as Clearlake want them gone, Maresca spins the “can’t play the system”. But the players who clearly can’t play the system, Gusto, Badiashille, nothing from Maresca as Clearlake doesn’t want to sell.

Others, with hardly any training with Maresca are getting minutes in front of Santos. This is why a lot of us are thinking that Clearlake have already made their mind up and he is a goner (we are also fearing another Salah or KDB type sale). I’m hoping this is not the case but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Maresca is the perfect manager for Clearlake. I wouldn’t be surprised that if Clearlake decided to cash in on Palmer, and Maresca was not onboard with this, Maresca would also spin this as “Palmer doesn’t fit how he wants to play” and point out his drop off in goals.
