August 7, 2025Aug 7 Gone quietly under the radar this one but another super promising youngster sniped from under Bayerns nose after leaving Palace.Worth just keeping a note of the name and track his progression from here over the next few years.
May 5May 5 Looked lively before the head injury.Hope the lad is okay and will have a speedy recovery.

May 5May 5 Glad he seems OK and is recovering. He made a promising debut and I hope to see him get more chances next season.

(Garnacho + Gittens)
July 8Jul 8 Signed a contract extension, and gone on a season long loan at Sporting Lisbon. Presumably as a direct replacement for Quenda.Would have preferred a PL loan to Lamp’s Coventry, or even the championship. You would think the club requested game time guarantee. July 8Jul 8 If he gets game time there, could be a good move. They develop players quite well in Sporting I believe.
July 8Jul 8 Author Mixed feelings on this one, Sporting seems a great destination for someone of his talents in a league that will allow them to flourish. However I really wanted to see him get more minutes for us, when the alternatives are Neto, Garnacho or Gittens.
July 8Jul 8 His mistake was looking better than Garnacho and Gittens in training LOL. Sending him out on loan means that the manager can't now play him ahead of the expensive signings !

Whereas he still might not get a look in here. Find it interesting how tricky it's been the last few years for young players to get a lot of first team minutes in the last 5 years. Harry Kane is regarded as a late bloomer, but he'd already scored 15-20 goals (albeit for Orient) when he was 18. Guehi / Mount had played loads. Can't say that about many players these days. A lot of hoarding happening with young players just sticking around the club.

Loan seems sensible.

Tuesday at 00:404 days Good move for Derry and Chelsea. It's not a coincidence that England's international prospects have drastically improved since English kids started playing in other leagues more frequently. Both the mens and womens teams are reaping the benefits.
