Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*

Featured Replies

Most under qualified coach that we have ever employed barring Lampard which was different.

On paper he’s done a decent job at Hull and Strasbourg but not mind blowing either. I’ve my doubts he will be an improvement on Maresca but we will see. If he can get 4th place that would be a respectable start.

Washington? They don't have a team in MLS do they? Do you mean Eric Ramsay from Minnesota United?

That's the one. Brain fog moment.

Certainly seems like it will be an underwhelming appointment for Strasbourg if so. He had one season as manager in MLS and while Minnesota did OK they didn't win anything. Look how the new manager at Celtic is doing and he achieved much more in MLS

Listening to Liam Rosenoir talk in interviews, for a former player he seems like a surprisingly thoughtful and articulate person. Perhaps doesn't have the intelligence to compete tactically with the Guardiolas/Klopps, but could definitely become a good upper-midtable Premier League manager in the not-too-distant-future.

Most likely he'll be able to achieve that at Chelsea.

It’s time to turn the focus on the owners of the club, if we want any kind of change then it needs to be forced. Under this ownership Chelsea is nothing more than a vanity project and will be a midtable, Europa league side at best side.

It needs to get ugly and fast

He will not have my support it’s nothing personal but that’s the only way I can vent my feelings against the owners.

Chelsea FC who had managers like Ruud Gullit, Vialli, Ranieri, Jose, Scolari, Carlo, Di Matteo, Benitez, Conte, Sarri, Lampard, Tuchel, Poch……,

Now we have a Liam Rosenior ladies and Gentlemen !!

Make it make sense.

Either way I hope any protests are directed where they should be - at Clearlake!

A regime puppet should be considered part of Clearlake for as long as he tows the line. No one with this clubs best interest at heart would tow the regime line and everyone who tries to stand up on them gets sacked on the spot (Tuchel, Poch, Enzo)

I want him out and he's not even started yet. And as for Clearlake, i'd take relegation to the Championship for a season if a promise they'd be gone came with that. Perhaps thats the only way we can get them the hell out and get the clubs soul back.

They're leeches that couldn't give two sh*ts about the club other than the returns they can get out of us.

I'd like to say I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, I'll get behind him and the team etc but I feel so clocked out. I've never felt as disheartened about the state of the club as I do right now, it might sound dramatic but to me it genuinely feels like the end of our time as an elite club.

I was so happy to see Maresca get the boot but we are now in the process of appointing somebody even less deserving of being Chelsea manager than Maresca was. The club we loved is dead and there's nothing we can do about it.

Same.

It's true. We're done.

Even thinking back to the lies and bullsh*t when this mob came in. I'm watching Sunderland at the moment. The noise from a Championship club is on another level to us. There is just apathy everywhere now as they have destroyed the soul of the club. With both Battersea and Earls Court now gone, another one of their blatant lies has acted as another nail, as we will never have the might and facilities to compete at an elite level in a run down 40,000 stadium.

Totally agree. Still no shirt sponsor too. This article sums it up well:

Don't expect Chelsea to hire an elite coach after Maresca...

Chelsea used to demand success, hiring the world's best coaches to deliver results. Enzo Maresca's departure reveals that that's no longer the case.

This is no longer the same club. I am just grateful we got to witness some great years under Roman.

The only hope we have of recovering the situation any time in the next few years is if Boehly puts together another consortium and buys out Clearlake, otherwise we're destined for, at best, a Spurs like existence.

This to me is playing out as the alternate ending of the Gilette/Hicks fiasco at Liverpool. This that we are now living is what would have happened if they hadn't sold up.
