Rosenior might be bang average as a coach, but he did a good job for Andrey Santos, a player who did nothing at Forest.

Sarri never got the best out of Hazard, Hazard got the best out of himself. Hazard was already playing at his peak before Sarri arrived and he continued that form going into the world cup and the following season. His 2018-19 season was inevitable unless he got injured. Real Madrid didn't come in because Sarri took Hazard's game to another level, he was already at that level before Sarri arrived. If anything, Hazard's stats that season would have been even better if we didn't have a coach so focused on retention ball.

I don't think Maresca turned Sanchez into a solid goalkeeper either. Sanchez was decently rated in his first season or two at Brighton, it was only when the focus switched to making him a ball playing goalkeeper where he struggled. He's still doing that now for us, but it's massively dialled down compared to before and he can focus more on just being an old fashioned goalkeeper again that focuses on commanding his box and making saves.

I will say this, respect immediately given if he drops Enzo for Santos in the midfield two.

diasgree, Sarri got the best out of hazard who was world class and improving - posted his best numbers in his career with him. Compare it to these players who all improved dramatically under Sarri. Gonzalo Higuaín, José Callejón, Lorenzo Insigne, Dries Mertens.

I hate Rafa the fat spanish waiter, but he won us trophies, like Maresca who is another coach I couldnt stand. Give them their dues, Sarri won us a trophy and ran from the club given the levels of hate he recieved. Still to this day i think its a low point for fans to chant at their own manager, we did, that was then and looks like were moving back to that era with Rosnior.

Getting the best out of Hazard by saying "go on Eden, do what you want where you want" isnt exactly coaching genius, and thats literally what he did.

Couldn't it be argued that after Hazard's previous two seasons, especially the title winning one under Conte, and the world cup, that it was inevitable that he was going to peak for us under Sarri anyway? We could have had any manager in 2018-19 and Hazard would still have had a world class season. Also, I don't think anything dramatically changed with Hazard under Sarri compared to previous seasons, he just naturally got better. Nothing tactically changed in Hazard's game because he was too naturally gifted to have his game dramatically changed by anybody's tactics.

I just think when you look at what Sarri got out of napoli players who had career best seasons under him, its the system that he had that allowed the likes of Hazard et all to do well. Also, worth considering how Hazards career feel to pieces the moment he left us for Real Madrid. That's not coincidence.

Im really not going to split hairs over Sarri or Hazard, I loved watching Eden and I didnt have an issue with Sarri tbh. We won stuff under him.

But it is a sign of a manager knowing that a player can change games, I mean, look at palmer and him being forced into a role that he doesnt look good at tbh, Palmer in the 10 is a huge no for me, wide right tearing it up big yes.

Plus, you also have to build a side that allows a free spirit like Hazard to play, sarri did that but is long gone.

It's actually quite difficult for me to get behind Blue co. patting themselves on the back whilst relocating one of their operatives from Strasbourg to our club.

I understand and support promotion from within but this is way too big a task for such a junior employee. Yet their belief in their unwavering ethos comes with a serious risk, shareholders must be a little concerned as a minimum if not horrified at this appointment. Players values and that is the only realistic issue here are being put at an unnecessary risk.

This fella is likely to be a stop gap nothing more. Operating with an interim coach seems much wiser.
